It doesn't even have to be a system really... Just a sticky thread in the forum for positive and negative feedback, simple really...

 

Yeah, alot of boards have them.

 

I think we are all making this out to be more than it needs to be.

Let the moderator delete posts as he sees fit.

If someone is clearly turnung a profit and not a sponsor, they need to be removed

Feedback section is great to call out the losers

Make a section specifically for the sponsors to list new products and special sales

I don't see any regulars on here abusing it so I don't think we need many rules, we're all big boys.

Rob will come up with what he sees fit, just me 2 cents.

 

You're not gonna get something that mirrors EBAY for free. That's just not going to happen.

When Rob gets done with his two current projects, I'm sure he'll look long and hard at this. He's been working on it some already, and we're talking about it in the moderator forum.

But you can't add something here that's gonna need five moderators and constant attention to work. IT has to be simple, and it has to be fair to the sponsors, who pay the bills here.

Stay tuned, I'm sure there will be developments.

I think that just using a thread would work out fine, if you want to implement something further later on, all the better.

And you could put the forums in the Subscribed areas if you are worried about sponsors. Or you could ask the sponsors their opinion of the subject.

Guys, it's a slippery slope.

Collectibles today, cars tomorrow. Next thing you know the forum is littered with self promotional ads etc. Short of adding a dozen or so moderators just to seek out misleading ads, or ones that compete with suppliers, we should give Rob some time to implement his plan.

Most sites frown on posting things for sale. And I guarantee you that many of the sponsors are here because they get a non-distracted audience.

It's going to require some work from Rob, and I'm sure he'll get it there. C'mon, this site has been here several years, you can all wait a few weeks or months while Rob gets it worked out.

Right now just a D40 but I am saving for a D300 hopefully by the end of summer. Check the Arts forum in the off topic, lots of photographers.

 

The thing I like best about a sub-forum and threads is - it's right here, you could hit the ads and the forums at the same time. I really like the forum idea.

I am thinking about getting rid of some of my cars as well.

we're steeping over the line with some of this.

Please be careful to consider that there are sponsors here who sell these items for a living.

There's a big difference in trading stuff that's used and offering new stuff for sale.

New for sale here is a no no, and it needs to go away or stay in FerrariAds.com, links to said same are still not gonna fly.
