    Well, Mr Cigarette,

Having graduated from various Porsches; 356, 911, 924 turbo and Boxster etc, I would highly recommend the Ferrari experience.

But a happy experience depends entirely on the integrity of the car you settle on. The 365/400/412 range represent spectacular value in terms of entry price but not so entry level on maintenance costs. My advice would be to buy the best on the market or not at all as restoration costs will far outstrip any savings on lower priced examples.

I have a 412GT as its a very dependable exotic but I also see the appeal of a 365GT4 2+2 as they seem to have more of the classic Ferrari cues: 5 speed manual gearbox, front engined V12, lots of Weber carburettors etc but less '80's than the later cars.

Of course you should buy both...

If you can, keep the 911 and buy the Ferrari also..
I love variaty and they all offer different sences. I recommend the Ferrari experience also but i myself could not live without my early 911's... and truth be told 328dgtb,, i also have a 924 turbo somewhere in my collection ;-) and i love it also for what it is because it bring back childhood memories..

Cigarette,, buy one of them... life is too short..

    Regards, Robert

Depends on where you take the car but unless it is an export (meaning excl.VAT) condition which is highly unlikely given the age of the car you would to pay only registration fees.

However some countries can have additional charges like in the Netherlands on car younger than 25 years so check before.

Do not know now but imported several Alfa's and 500's from Italy many years ago and in those days you needed a legal document of sales drawn up by a "Notario". Without it the owner could claim ownership. (But long time ago).

The silver one looks nice, the gold one - not so much...
Porsche and Ferrari, totally different cars so I agree with most here - if you have to, take both :)
