F355 cats http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320582746155&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Stainless and the cores are oem'd from Magnaflow. Seems very reasonable alternative. Not Hyperflo but.... better than OEM Ferrari? JD
Looks reasonable. The big question mark is whether they will run properly and not throw "low catalyst efficiency" codes. Seems the 355 can be sensitive to this issue. Not sure if this is caused by poor running cars in the first place, or the fault of the cats, but appears to happen on occasion with even the "big name" aftermarket cats.
Those are available for a bit less here: http://www.racepages.com/catalytic/ferrari/f355.html My only gripe is 'some' of these are not metallic matrix. But if the rest of your car is stock, the ceramic cores (as factory) should do just fine.
Thanks for the lonk Goth. Only non-stock items on engine are K&N' filters, a Tubi and a Goth Resonator block off disc. If (when) headers go, then the rebuilt ones than Ricambi has. I have a very strong feeling that the Hyperflo's use a Random Technology Metal Matrix core. Later on if I do any major upgrades I can fire my TIG up and modify the cat's I'm taking off to use them......I really don't need the heavy polishing that the Hyperflo's have. Bling I'd rather not pay for. JD
