I'm a wannabe nerd, which is exactly who that lecture was intended for, I think. I watched most of it, until I had a hiccup in the download. Most interesting were his insights into the historical/geopolitical nuclear topics. History of Iraqi nuclear activity, Commentary on North Korea, stuff about his mentor and the Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombs, etc.
Greaaaaaat I can see those vids are going to eat up a few hours of my time now. Anyone else been to the nuclear reactor at a school? I know UC Irvine has one you can tour every now and then. Pretty cool trip if you get the chance. I can only assume Berkely has one as well. Definitely worth checking out.
Cripes, I'm no nuke nerd at all - but that was fascinating. I could listen to that prof all day long. (Mind you, at an hour and a quarter, I think I just did.) Neil
"Imagine a mosquito or a flea in the middle of memorial stadium." He should have just said, "picture a Giant tit, thats what an Bohr-Rutherford atom looks like." At least the non-US people would easily be able to relate to the analogy
