this car has been advertised since last year. when i contacted them through the carexperience.com, i was told the car had been sold. i don't know if that info was correct or not, but find it odd the car is still being advertised. one has to wonder if you are going to spend $12k on an interior, why you select green? it seems that color combo will eliminate several buyers very quickly. besides that, short of starting from scratch, where do you even get a green interior kit?

    Wow!!

    That is some interior!!

$12K, c'mon, I did mine from scratch, soup to nuts with Daytona seats for less than that!!

    And, well, um, it's GREEN!!!

I guess you could dye it another color.

I think I might have spent a couple of bucks detailing the engine, while I was there.

The proprietor has never been swift on updating his website. I bought my car from him over two years ago and it is still listed although with a big SOLD next to it. Although he is particularly into Porsches, being near Limerock means a lot of different cars float out of the hills through his shop.

it isn't uncommon for dealers who deal in vintage cars to not update their inventory that often. more often than not, they can track down any car for a qualified, real buyer.

I'm a little odd but I don't really mind the green. What I do object to is that they shuld be Daytona style seats with brown or tan inserts. That would be more to my liking.

And the inventory, although sold, will keep drawing folks to the website, so rather update the website, they let it ride.

That statement seems unfounded or at least inconsistent.
There is a tool kit, jack and correct BELUX triangle for the Dino in the photo of the trunk. Wouldn't a "sketchy" dealer take these right away?

This statement is not unfounded or inconsistent. I know a very serious car collector who is affiliated with this man in a business relationship (I don't want to get too specific about what type of relationship). He has had many lawsuit issues with the dealer has nothing but very bad things to say about the dealers business practices. Sure, this guy could be wrong, but I have a great respect for the man who has told me this and the Ferrari/Porsche communities also have a very high regard for this collector. If I had to make a business decision based on what some dealer had to say or on what a very reputable car collector who has done business with this dealer has to say, I will take the side of the reputable collector every time. However, I would suggest you look into this yourself if you are interested. I'm just trying to give a heads up.

Just to clear some things up on this thread, I own and have owned the silver/green Dino for for the last 5 years. 1973 Euro car. The car spends winters in the Paradise Garage showroom and I at one point discussed selling the car so Glen took photos and put it on the site. I bought the car from a Ferrari Market Letter listing in Texas in the spring of 2001. Always wanted a silver/green combination. Have also seen a 550Maranello in this combination. Couldn't believe how expensive it became - no kit, all from scratch. Done by Mike Curley to a Pebble Beach standard as he used to be Paul Russell's trimer. Seats were rebuilt and the door pockets dyed to match. Pale sage green Wilton carpets piped in green. Daytona seats aren't correct for this car plus I never liked them anyway. Came with tools, jack, triangle, wheel chock but incorrect (later 328) pouch and no books. Bought correct red 1973 book plus Maranello Concessanaires reprint to actually use. Would love to have pouch and books but can't bear to spend entire car money for them. Also need spare tire bolt/clamp but haven't seen one on e-bay lately. This is my 3rd Dino and 5th Ferrari, and my all-time favorite car to drive.

    WELCOME!!

Have you decided to keep the Dino?

Your post would seem to indicate that.

always great to add another Dinophile to the group here.

I see that the stering wheel of the car heading this post is BLACK. I have seen most pictures of Dinos with metal colored steering wheels. Is the black always an aftermarket colour, or did they come black from the factory (sometimes)?

    Cheers,

    Julio
