Hi all, I am guilty of this myself. Rarely do I check the other areas of F-chat, but I was VERY glad to have found this thread. It is a very long read, but if you get a kick out of restoration projects, you absolutely HAVE to check this one out, it has over 240,000 views at this point, and climbing daily.

This guy went through every single part in his Dino, top to bottom, front to back, inside and out, etc. and did what is probably the most thorough resto ever done in the world by anybody, ever, over the course of 2 years. It will take at least 5 hours to read and view everything, but it is truly inspiring to see just how dedicated a single man and his son can be to bringing a car to better than factory specs. The single most engaging thread I have ever read. He is obviously retired, a complete amateur (though VERY talented) and has plenty of cash to throw around on toys, so it is a veritable step-by-step how-to on a Dino resto with about 1500 pictures to document it. Brought tears to my eyes!!! The car is going to be viewable at an LA show on April 8, IIRC.

Just thought I would share this with the 348/355 bros who might be getting bored with the "1-4 slowdown light??" threads. Happy reading!!

 

Isn't that guy's garage insane? My favorite thing about it is the Scuderia Ferrari shield that he had laminated onto the floor all pretty-like, and towards the end of the project it is totally thrashed, complete with scuffs, scars and oil stains. Oh, to be a multi-millionaire...
