I was told that this one panel by the side intakes can not be done with ppf (thicker than wrap) in one piece without seams. The green take is where the seams are at.

Can you check your 488 (Spider) and tell me if you have any seams on this panel with you PPF?

I am guessing that's where the standard cuts are in the system for the car. If they did custom cuts, they could probably hide the seams better.

I bought an f8 with full ppf, and I am not a fan of some of the seams, so I am going to get it redone.

My F8 has the same (or slightly smaller uncovered space) but being on the bottom inside, it’ll never get a chip so no worries at all

I was told that there is too much tension there to do it one piece and it would pull right up inside the duct. Just wanted to check as I am ignorant to this and even what i am communicating.

Sounds like it's legit as other have thst seam

I thought my car panel was cracked. So relieved it was dirt on the seam. Detail spray and a toothbrush going in the direction with the seam got it out.

Exactly the same for my 488 and F8, my buddies F8 and every other 488/F8 I've seen. PPF that can be stretched to cover the opening in one piece would be too thin to afford sufficient protection. Unsee it; it's 100% normal.

    Thanks everyone.

Installer offered tomsplice another piece to insert in there. I think if they do thst dirt would really get trapped in there and hard to remove.

Not sure thst isma high risk area for rock chips.

This is an f8, but if you watch around the 5 minute mark, there are ways to do it with hiding the seams more if you don't use the pre cut pieces.

I have mine being wrapped in stealth ppf, so every seam matters.

A custom install will have zero seams

my seam seems really deep in the photo I’m photographing from the top so it looks more exposed than it is. I think they went pretty deep. From the side it’s not as visible

they said they can do more with wrap than true ppf. I have the top of the line STEk. So it’s thicker than wrap and harder to install and stretch per the installer.
