I decided to post the information on what my car cost to drive 15 years and just under 100,000 miles!

$68.00 total cost, not counting fuel and Insurance

But you should also know I have to kept it in perfect condition.
Dealer serviced. Same master technicians it's whole life... I also changed all fluids every January.
it was in perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically ! :)

Such stats are always fun to play with.

In the 40 months I have owned my 550 it has cost me ~550 €/month and ~1.5 €/km (in parts alone, as I do all the maintenance myself)
Excluding "strictly unnecessary" items such as John Cribb's COP set up and Fiammenghi headers the figures go down to 1 €/km and 370 €/month.
Adding all the time spent wrenching on it may amount to ~150 hours, maybe more.
Those figures are probably on the high side as I started with a car that I wanted to sort inside out regardess of costs - it is now paying off and I can take it out for any long distance drive with the same piece of mind as with a Toyota (touch wood...).

You've had your car dealer serviced for 15 years for a total cost of $68? Has your dealer not raised their prices since 1897? It costs me more than $68 for my tech to pull it from the parking lot into the shop.

$68K sounds about right. I have had mine for 20 yrs and 110,000+ miles. I haven't kept a running total but my guess would be about $75k. Big dollar service/repairs: 5-6 major with belts and bearings , new clutch and associated bits at 100k miles, A/C compressor, two fuel pumps, brake rotors. Driving to Dallas next week for yearly service and whatever turns up.

OK, maybe I didn't explain it correctly. I took the price I paid for the card + The price I paid for SERVICE added that together .......
Then I subtracted the amount I received for the car ..... simple math. My total cost was $68. or $ 6.58 per year 0r .36 cents per month.
Believe it or don't believe it no matter to me, but that's what it cost me to run my car for 15 years just find the right buyer for your car and maybe you'll come up with the same number :)

I get the math. Most 275 models and 330 such as GTC have probably cost their owners $-300 per mile! I suspect that a lot of F50s are even more of a 'loss' ;)

Minus 15 years of inflation, of course.

Bill- Now I get it, $68/mile. Not sure I want to know what the 575M has cost me in total.

Sorry on the banner, but I really have no idea what something like that is worth.

    J.A,
Not per month buddy. OP is saying his total cost of ownership was 68$. Because he sold the car for more, than he bought it for.
OP is adding the cost of the ( car + service ) minus sales price = 68$.
Basically he had it for free for 15 years and only paid for fuel/insurance on top of the 68$.

That is certainly impressive. Inflation counted in or not.

YAY... somebody finally got it ! Thank you.
Terry, if you remember, you're the one that came up with the price I should sell it for. Also my sale thread was massive a moderator finally had to stop all the negative stuff.

    Here is the thread ..
