    anyone use Leroy's washing service...I am thinking of using him but he needs to drive the f-car up to the wash bay..do you let him drive the car...curious how many of us here are there in West End...every sunday night I see a line of us making that left turn into the garage...

    thought they just did radiao installs...leroy works in the garage and is convenient.

    Gus does do a good job, except he's located in Chelsea.

    For West End, go to the Westside Carwash (the big place on Westside Highway between 47&46th), except go on the 47th street side (where all the cars come out). Just before the carwash exit, there're a lot of cars backed into the sidewalk, that's the handwash staging area. Go inside and pay $25 and you'll get a one of the nicest hand wash in Manhattan. Tip the guys well and you'll get taken care of when you go back there.

    Those guys being washing my Ferrari's for over a year now. Always took good care of the car and very meticulous.

    Technik 1's work when it comes to detailing and electronics is abosolutely top-notch.

    Last I spoke with Gus, however, he said they were no longer offering hand washes as a regular service (too much time vs. what their guys could be doing with detailing, electronics, etc., and I agree).

    I use the West Side carwash that pchop suggested 1 -2 times per day, and they're terrific. The hand-wash on the 47th street side is thorough and terrific, but plan to spend nearly 30 - 45 minutes there.

    And though some will gasp when I say this: I run the 360s, the Porsche, and the Bentley through the machine wash (I don't have 45 minutes / car to wait), and they come out FANTASTIC every time. No paint damage, no underbody damage, no wheel damage -- I've done it with the Bentley & Porsche since day 1 -- Probably run each through over a hundred times and the paint still looks brand new. $15 for a deluxe wash.

    my f-cars are WAY to low....and the targa would leak and the Cabriolet..well, I can't imagine what would happen..I guess I'd get a free interior shampoo! I will check in on the 47th street side and would love to know if anyone uses leroy at West Park..since he is right in the gargage...might take one for the team.

    NYCFERRARIS... did you ever take your F-car to leroys? How was your experience. Where exactly is Leroy's? Let me know.

    I am going give 47th and WSH right now. I have the same dilemma as you guys. no place to wash it myself in manhattan (and way too cold now as well!!)

    leroy works inthe garage for the monthly's...what I wound up doing is going to a body shop on w58th and I paid the finish guy to detail my car...worked out great but these shops are vanishing all up/down the west side to 80 story luxury condo's ...ny is becoming very very car hostile..tough town to be a car guy....we should arrange another area deatiling day for allof us..

    Who would one trust for high-end detailing: light swirl removal, cleaning clays, top waxes, etc.? Detailing Dynamics in Mineola comes to mind but I'd go for something in Manhattan or nearby NJ first....
