I could not find an offical link to the recall on Fords website, but I saw this on the news and on other reputable websites such as usa today. Also when I ran a vin taken from Ebay motors it said that there was such a recall.

Ford recalled 1.2 million trucks, sport-utility vehicles and vans on Thursday amid concerns of potential engine fires, expanding upon one of the largest vehicle recalls in history.
Ford Motor (F) said the recall was tied to the cruise control deactivation switch system, which could corrode over time, overheat and catch fire.

The recall involves vehicles fueled by gasoline or natural gas and equipped with cruise control, including the 1994-2002 F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 F-Super Duty trucks, 2000-2002 Excursion SUVs, 1994-1996 Econoline vans and 1996-2002 E-450 vans, and 1998 Explorers and Mountaineers. The recall does not involve similar vehicles fueled by diesel.

This is exactly what the Big 3, and Ford in General need. More things causing trouble in their vehicles...have the Big 3 hit rock bottom yet?

The stock is still going up? (7.13 at the time of this writing) I am guessing its because there is alot of speculation money in Ford.

Thats why i can't stand ford and will never buy a Vehicle from them.

Unfornately we always manage to end up with one. We have had atleast 1 in the last 10years or so and all of them has been a big POS minus the Ford convertion Van which is valued at 45k. That thing was loaded!.
