Well congrats on the new purchase, and selling your car. I was hoping to see it in SoCal when you moved, but I guess it's all for the better. But anyway, can't wait to meet you.

Can't remember who said "Porsche flat 6 is the only way to upgrade from 8-10 or 12 cylinders".

    Congrats, 993 always looked awesome.

    Welcome to the dark side.
Keep how much you actually enjoy driving this car a big secret from the ferrari guys.
Don't tell them your battery never goes dead if the car sits for a week or two.
Don't explain that parts are a fraction of the cost of the bits from Italy in the little yellow boxes, or that they actually fit.
Don't tell these guys that you can modify your car for close to nothing, make it faster, handle better and still be unafraid to park it in a public space.

Oh, and don't tell them how cheap it is.
Just tell them "someday, i'll get another one of those ferraris. But in the meantime, i'll suffer driving this Porsche."

Another apostate member of the ferrari clan currently driving a P-car, but promising to buy another ferrari someday soon. (Welcome to the club)

Porsches rock, my 930 is a blast and the fastest car I've been in.

Porsches are the true drive-em all week and to the track, race-em, then drive them back home, they thrive on it.

    Augustine,

What else can I say than... Enjoy it. Porsche is a nice car, I loved it in the past and still in my mind is the best daily driver sport car in the world.
But if in your heart there is Ferrari...

You will be back, my friend.

All the best with your new toy

    Ciao

    Eugenio

Once again, thanks to all for the positive reinforcement. This is not a farewell; just a new beginning. I definitely plan on getting another Ferrari when the timing is right. This time I'm going to keep both cars though.

    Bill Hart,

Don't worry. The secret is safe with me. ;)

BEAUTIFUL, Augustine! Congratulations. Your taste in Ferrari comes through even as you procure one of the finer examples of Porsches. Don't be ashamed; sometimes Knights and Noblemen marry villagers... But they always cheat sooner or later! :) :) :) :) :)

Regarding the Porsches, I don't know all the numbers that much, but I am acutely aware of the relatively-late-model-911-esque model that you have here, that looks modern, unmistakable Porsche, "baseline" with no rear wing, and with the classic but well-done round headlights that they moved away from in subsequent model years. My favorite, if I had to pick!

    Congrats again!

I took my wife to look at replacing her BMW with a newer model,
but she fell in love with a red 86 Porsche Carrera.
Anything special I should know about these cars?

Love 993's, especially the C4S (my dad's nice enough to let me drive his whenevever I want :) )

Nice color. Very rare. I've only seen about three Adventurine Green 993's and one 996 EVER! And I live in L.A. which is the mecca of Porsches.

    Congrats and enjoy!

    Great car, great drive.

Ignore the Ferrari Elitists on the board.

Good luck with it. Maybe you can still catch a cruise with us before you head out. I'm going to be in A/C in July, will you still be there?

I have to confess, I had, until about a month ago, a dreaded "P" car too, and I loved it!

    Congrats on your car!

Ignore the "narrow minded"! There is much more pleasures in life than just Ferrari. A Porsche is a very good example of this. I hope that you enjoy the car to the max. But I also agree that one day you will be back in a Ferrari!
