Dr. Colin Kolles (from Ingolstadt) will be running two R10's at LeMans and in LMS this year. Dr. Kolles was Team Manager for Jordan which became Spyker which became Force India. He also ran two Audi DTM teams. This makes for (3) Audi Factory R15 TDI's, (2) privateer Audi R10's and (1) Lola/Audi for LeMans.

In a prior thread I did about LMS vs ALMS vs FIA-GT - this acquisition and entry in LMS makes the LMS LMP1 class as big or bigger than the entire ALMS grid for 2009.

It will be interesting to see who Dr. Kolles signs as drivers of the R10.

I thought Colin was the Commercial Director for Jordan/Midland/Spyker....not team manager....

I suspect that Alan McNish will be appearing for them in some of the races that the works cars are not attending?

Kolles has only released the name of one driver - Audi only accepted TWO of the 24h invitations for the R15 (I feel strongly the winning team willl remain intact); Kolles with TWO R10 entries at LM - he will need drivers for his cars so what a better way but to borrow some of the Audi works stable. He'll also need to borrow drivers if he wants to win in LMS. I too hope that Allan will fill the driver void at the LMS races - gives him a chance for the Championship title he lacks.
