Sorry, but that is not an argument....First of all the FIA is not always right (as seen in the past) and second the FIA rarely does anything if the incident involves 2 cars of the same team (as seen in the past)...When did the FIA intervene in any of the Mercedes team-intern accidents or incidents?
But it does not only affect Red Bull so I think the FIA should look into this as well....But they do nothing at all Pastor was crashing in the back of the field and although this certainly was annoying for the ones around him fighting for points and price money it appeared still funny as it did not change too much overall. Now we are in the situation when one is crashing in the front and it has a severe impact on the WDC and WCC.... F1 is suposed to be a sport where efforts should pay off, if you want to gamble the top teams might stay in Monaco after the race and spend their money in the casino instead of trying to improve a car just to have a roulette finish because one is going berserk....
This is a team sport, so they say. The Red Bull team could have easily prevented this by employing team orders. I would think soon that might be the case if they have future problems. Im quite happy to see them looking so foolish Red Bull. They backed openly Max for the future and now he has performed like a rookie. The undertone appears to be subtle favoritism of Max that puts Ricci at risk. Again as I stated before they will never concede a problem and rather place both on report. Red Bull have 2 good drivers, one with skill and one that has some issues in terms of being wreckless and less than accomodating because he can be. Im very much out of favor with Max now. He has not shown his capability to lead a team and win a title at all. Fun to watch will only take him so far.
Martin tweeted on the 24th - "I’m not in Azerbaijan this weekend (or Sochi and Suzuka later in the year) but my great and very talented friends at SkyF1 are of course. Because only Sky invest in bringing you every single minute and lap of F1 live, on various platforms, as listed below". Ted Kravitz mentioned something about attending a Wedding.
Another crash will mean team orders says Marko MAY 2, 2018 Red Bull may consider imposing team orders if Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen collide again. After Baku, bosses Christian Horner and Dr Helmut Marko were furious, but said they remained committed for now to always letting the team's drivers race. But Marko now tells Sport Bild: "At the next collision, we will have to do a team order, although we are actually against it." Mercedes team chairman Niki Lauda put the blame on Verstappen at 70 per cent. "He zig-zagged," the F1 legend told Bild newspaper. "That's completely pointless. He does not learn." But Marko insisted Red Bull has no regrets about signing Dutchman Verstappen, notwithstanding his troubles in 2018. "We got Max because of his speed and his aggressiveness. Then you have to live with the fact that sometimes sparks fly," he said. As for whether his relationship with teammate Daniel Ricciardo might be broken, Verstappen said no. "No, no," he told Austrian broadcaster Servus TV. "We talked immediately after the crash and I cannot imagine it will change our good relationship. "It was not the first time we have fought, and with one exception everything always went smoothly. Our fight before the accident was tough but always fair," Verstappen added. And so he said he is "staying positive" ahead of the Spanish grand prix. "We're getting numerous improvements to the car for Spain so I'm assuming we'll be very competitive there," he said. Meanwhile, Germany's Suddeutsche newspaper reports that at Baku, official talks between Red Bull and Honda kicked off. "It was positive," Honda's Masahi Yamamoto is quoted as saying. "This is the beginning of a potential future."
"Could" is the magic word....RBR "could" prevent this but obviously they do not...So now Max and Ricci have to apologize to the team, wow that is hard punishment, that certainly makes sure that it ill not happen again How long does the FIA look at this spectacle waiting for someone else to do their job? Doesn´t it matter to them that all these crashes might add to the show but make the racing itself a farce? The Toro Rosso crash into each other, the RB do as well as the Force India from time to time. It is like we have several crashes every race now, the drivers drive like they are sitting on the couch at the playstation and when they crash they look for the reset button. Maybe instead of pushing the safety barrier (halo...) further and further they should start to educate the drivers a little bit more. A few more races like the last two and the WDC become a joke being awarded to the one who is the most lucky in all the crashes. Nothing to do with sports anymore...
Jackie Stewart won his 3 WDCs all with Team Tyrrell, though with two different chassis(Matra and Tyrrell).
Was there any confirmation that Red Bull were having problems with their charging batteries during the race? The early battles with Renault were great regardless!
Evidently Max was having charging issues, judging from his radio conversations with the team. DR I don't think so. DR would fall back from Max at certain points to charge his before making another attempt at Max.
WHAAA WHAAA WHAAA Habone;s crying......... Yet again.... http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/23381027/lewis-hamilton-accuses-sebastian-vettel-breaking-rules-safety-car-baku-fia-sides-vettel
There's a lot of talk, discussion, and planning going on about curtailing future collisions between Max and Ric... for me the question is... what are you going to do about Max crashing into others. I'm sick of this kid inserting himself into the WDC.
I know I shouldn't, but.....some are clueless no? (No offense intended nor aimed at anyone;. 'Just wonder why some make statements without even doing their homework... If one hasn't been around that long, they should at least make an effort to "know" before making a statement as fact. Of course, "mistakes" do happen...)
