Bottas nor LH were faster all weekend. A few more laps and Bottas will pass Vettel. Vettel was putting on a good defense at the right time. LH would not have fared better given the lock ups he was having with the same tire. LH drove well, Mercedes were simply not the best car this weekend at all in any session.

Bottas had to save his tires to attack and Vettel had to manage his to the end. The timing worked out perfectly.

I feel very bad for Kimi and I am not his greatest fan. I do hope the mech is ok and Kimi continues to drive well as he did this weekend.

The bones broken, tissue damage and fix are the easy part. Rehab is a biatch and the hard part. Good that he will have team encouragement and resources to ensure full recovery. Would like to see him on sticks at the races and watch him make progress.

I keep thinking of all the times that David Hobbs said that anvils simply fall out of the sky and land on Kimi Raikkonen.

Max needs to calm down! He’s fast and talented, but very impetuous. Being aggressive is mandatory, but you must be skillful when passing. He tends to be a bull in a china shop and ends up with too many contact issues. It bit him in the arse again today. A little humility may make him coachable with the team.

I think this is why Max is not yet on the Ferrari radar ..like Ricci is.

Had Seb been passed by Bottas, I would have blamed the team’s tire strategy. It would have made no sense to put Seb on Supersofts and a second stop to try to catch and pass Bottas when mediums and 1 stop made more sense. Seb’s skill saved a weekend that should have been Ferrari with max points. Merc was never the equal this weekend, agree.

This is the problem with learning your F1 on the Playstation - The game let's you get away with it, real racing does not!

Max needs to learn that you cannot: "turn damage off" with a real F1 car! ;)

Mercedes got the tactics right, Ferrari got them wrong, but Sebastian was sublime with his car control on tyres that were completely shot with 10 laps to go!

Sometimes it pays to be good.
Sometimes it pays to be lucky.
And sometimes it pays to be both good and lucky!

Ferrari dodged a bullet here today - Life is good! :D

Hehehe. Don’t forget guys, Mercedes have bribed, I mean asked, Pirelli to change the tyres from what works for nine out of ten teams, to ones that work for them. Our winning streak may be short lived, so we must enjoy it while it lasts. Once the fix is in, it’ll be tougher

TBH, the most impressive part of Hamilton's triple car overtake was the fact that, with the over-speed he had from the DRS and triple car tow, he managed to slow the car and make the corner without locking up or running wide.

The overtake itself? - The bigger surprise would have been if he had not managed it - Not that he did!

Do you really think his overtake was that amazing?

Hamilton had that much more speed than those ahead of him that he had to overtake all three of them - It simply wasn't possible for him to just overtake one or two of them, because he had too much speed for that!

And the most exciting part of the race was actually created by a lack of overtaking! - Bottas' failure to overtake Vettel was an absolute nail biter!: Strange but true!
