Davidson analysing the race, saying Lewis probably did squeeze Max a little but he took a risk passing Lewis there.

Rosberg saying Max pass on Vettel was bad.

You don't suppose Liberty gave Ferrari orders to lose to keep the championship close, do you?

It certainly looked like Ferrari was doing everything possible to tank their own race. ;)

Or maybe they just threw Ferrari a helluva party, Saturday night, and the pit wall was hung over. :p

It's really hard for kimi to try and win races when Ferrari does it's utter best to **** up his races at every given opportunity.

This was coming a long way. Verstappen got lucky so many dozens of times there was always a streak of it not working out coming. Both him and Vettel were surprisingly mature about it after the race.

The STR stuff up luckily made the race exciting, it was utterly boring from lap one until the safety car.

For the second time Lewis and Max clashed and for the second time absolutely nothing happens to Lewis...Seb never had the same luck let's hope it does not decide another championship.

Yeah the pass wasn't great...The room was minimum, and Verstappen should've realized at the rate he was catching Vettel all he had to do was line him up perfectly and make the pass a few corners later (Turn 3, or 4, whatever it's called). From Max's onboard I understand why he made the attempt but the former still applies. The hit was really very small and not nearly as bad as it looked live.

As Vettel said...**** happens and this happens in first races, 100th races and people still do it into their 300th race. Vettel himself has been guilty of these antics in his championship years even.

I'm just glad Verstappen went over to Vettel immediately and held his hands up and apologized for his mistake.

We're still leading the championship standings, Hamilton had another poor weekend, our car seems to work in hot and cold conditions, we shouldn't be discouraged by one bad race. Ferrari's terrible pit strategy they'll hopefully learn a lesson from

But how more often will we say "It was not so bad" or "We see why he tried" or "He is still young"?
It seems there is almost no race without incident and it might affect the championship. Imagine you do your best and then Max comes along and there is nothing you can do. I guess Seb will not be so calm if at the end of the season these points are missing. Instead of gaining points on Lewis he lost only because of Max...and this has nothing to do with the strategy of Ferrari....

Nope I completely agree. Max needs to pick his moments when to overtake. He has the single lap pace. He definitely has the race pace. He CAN overtake. But he needs to pick his moments better. Going round the outside of Lewis was never going to work. Lewis, Vettel, Ric, Alonso...all would've pushed him off track (as happened). Had he picked that moment better (either a few corners later or end of the straight, at worst the next lap at turn 3/4, whatever it's called)...and we'd be celebrating his excellent race and win now with Vettel 2nd or 3rd (if he could take Bottas).

Once he's got the right moments licked that's it. Ric manages to make these overtakes almost always, simply because he pics his moments better. Comes with experience, a wiser head.

You learn from your mistakes.... if this would be true Max should know by now because he had plenty of mistakes in the past. So the question is whether Ricci has something Max will never have? A feeling for the situation.... few in the grid do cleaner passes than Ricciardo does...

Ricciardo is something special overtaking wise.

Max normally spouts of blaming the rest for not giving him the room. This time definitely looked he felt bad for what he did and apologetic. Held his hands up. A turning point? Lets hope so.

This is so desapointing...Max is an idiot..he's done it so many times before and he keeps on doing it...and he will keep on untill the fia stops him..just like marquez in moto gp...it's all very nice to drive like you have nothing to loose agains those who actualy have, but this is not being a good driver, nor is it fair, it's just a egocentric stupid kid, with no sense of responsability! Everyone knows what max is trying to do, he wants to pass the emssage taht either you let him trough or you'll have a crash..a bit like Ayrton did...but it won't work, because the other top drivers dont get intimidated by him, so he keeps colecting crashes...he shoul be baanned for a couple of races, and if he keeps at it he should be banned for a whole season, maybe than he would realize that he isn't racing alone on track..it did wonders for Grosjean!!
I love agressive drivers, Gilles, ronnie Alesi, they where the top of the top, but all of them where very correct on track, Max is not, he is very fast butt hat's all, he lacks the skill to avoid contact with others.

Ferrari may have stuffed up their strategies and the tire situation didn't help BUT aside from that where is the speed advantage of the Mercedes. While all eyes are focussed on the Ferrari errors, but for Mad Max punting Vettel off track, Lewis would have been lucky to salvage 5th. Bravo to the two flying Fins and Aussie, aussie, aussie, oi, oi, oi......
