A case of the blind leading the blind.

Penalty for Ocon get's him moved down the grid means Vet starts 8th.
Kimi and Vet both still had the opportunity to put in a good run but both made mistakes.

Best bet is that Max on S Softs could jump Ham, or Ham gets hesitant PU problems reported in his last race ?

Merc brought their A game, Ferrari ....enuff said.

Well at least we have Kimi up there. I'm sure he'll give it his best and put in a great race.

    Just kidding.

I bet Vettel still beats him (unless he loses his wing against another car) and will lead to more moaning from Kimi fans about how strategy robbed him of well deserved 4th place.

First sign that Ferrari management is a joke (and have no racing sense or the killer instinct needed to succeed) is that the kept Raikkonen for so long. Second sign is that they didn't chase Ricciardo to light a fire under Vettel for next year prior to replacing him with Leclerc the next year.

Too many people there just happy to be traveling around the world.

Wow. I just woke up and I'm reading this. I don't think I'll even watch the replay.

    How about those Cubs . . . wait . . .

How about those Toro Rosso Hondas . . . !! They did manage to get it together on their home soil. Banzai!

Watching an interview with Zak Brown I wonder if McLaren's issue might be excess weight?

    You think?

Ferrari boss Arrivabene: Suzuka F1 qualifying blunder unacceptable

Maybe he's not as clueless as I thought though still responsible for keeping the duds employed:

Ferrari haven’t been able to strategise for ten years, aside from the odd ‘getting lucky’ on occasion, since Ross and the guys left. They need a total reboot of their strategists, ****, they need any one of us here to join, we couldn’t do worse and if hazard a guess we’d do way better. It’s an embarrassing shambles we witness at the monent

I don't post here because it so f'en political and most never saw a GP race prior to MS. The FIA keeps trying to help; they took away refueling. Maybe they need to instate a rule governing tire choices; everyone must run the same tire and we will tell you what tire and when. Couldn't hurt. Mercedes is better! Oh and Hamilton is better get past it fanboys!

I think he sees that Vettel is teetering on the brink of jacking it in, and knows ferrari would be a perfect fit for him next year. I wonder if he has a buy out clause, and whether ferrari will get Phillip Morris to fund a raid for him.. stranger things have happened, Vettel can’t be happy that his races are being sabotaged by his own team even before he gets into the race itself

I think it’s time for new blood, but they have to get the strategists up to speed for 2019, it’s no good changing the drivers and not getting the actual main issues sorted. It’s a shame they couldn’t do it for Vettel, but I get the feeling even Seb has almost given up on emulating Michael with Ferrari
