yep, it's amazing how much load each tire takes during a high speed run. Even more hear at Eau Rouge (negative g's) then transfers to positive g's at Raidillion plus the lateral load.....all happening at once.
It's the only circuit other than Monza on my bucket list ..... and Monza is only there because it's Italian/Ferrari I don't think I'd be brave enough to hold it flat through Eau Rouge
Both at fault really. Bottas admitted he did'nt see him and Vandoorne chose the wrong line even though Vandoorne was carrying more speed.
Bottas was in the middle of the track...how can vandoorne know he suddenly would move to the racing line?
On the outside of the kink? He couldn't see how much faster Vandoorne was and wasn't told he was closing that fast. He was taking the line following Alonso, Vandoorne should have known that window was going to close quick.
Right. But he wasn't there then. He wasn't even on a fast lap. Damon Hill squarely blamed Bottas for not looking in his mirrors.
Vandoorne and Bottas are off to the stewards shortly - Garry Connelly, Enzo Spano and Mika Salo Garry Connelly, Max's favorite steward..
