    The goose is cooked.
Seb is an outstanding driver amongst multiple world champions but Lewis is on another level. Much stronger mentally as well.

Mercedes F1 is a far superior organisation and what we are witnessing is just logical. Also the new top guy at Ferrari -what's his name Naomi Campbell dater- is not doing anything and whilst it is customary to observe and not interfere in the first few weeks I hope he is telling Arrivabene to get his strategic act together.

    The analysis is easy:
Ferrari needs guys like Todt, Brawn and especially a driver like Schumacher.
Give too much power to Italians, and the house becomes a casino.
I have many Italian friends and I love them. But most of them seem to mess up passion with efficiency.
    No different at the Scuderia.

Get in people like Wolff, Lauda, Newey, Horner: organised, disciplined hightech boys. People who know what strategy means. And get us a driver with balls AND brains.

Yes, but Ferrari helped him today, as it has many times this year.

    Exactly.

Put Lewis in a Ferrari - and “thanks” to the “organisation” - he will be completely lost, too.

Vettel basically said the only way they can lose is if they do it to themselves. I do believe Seb has lost confidence in the team and the team has pretty much had it with his bellyaching

The team is not functional now. Seb has lost confidence. The season is lost even though they have a superior car.

Meh, forget it guys: today we can´t blame the strategy, we even can´t put the blame in a Vettel **** up. We just were plain slow, period. Hopefully other tracks will suit us better and won some races, if not the rest of the season is going to be boooring.

We would need a string of good luck unseen since 2007. But I´d settle for some wins to at least fall with the head high. Also, the Constructors championship is not out of reach if Raikkonen stays awake and Bottas gets the Kovalainen syndrome.

    They are happily employed elsewhere.
But perhaps Ron Dennis might fancy a stint at Ferrari

It would take some DNF's now on Lewis's side -- and we know that rarely happens.

He's faced to WDC's in the same car and bested them both. Why would he fear Ocon?
He looked completely defeated...I actually felt sorry for him.

I don't. Pro athletes have to deal with losing and then fighting back. If they can't then they are really losers.

Maybe it's time for a good ol' fashion shouting match in Maranello to get it flushed out. Something has to change.

Seb's in-car comment "these tires won't last" while only being on them a few laps was a gift to his opponents and a slap in the face to the team strategists. The other teams repeated this up and down the grid.

Ditch Ice and have Nelly Jr. suit up. Sends a signal to Merc there is no bottom we won’t scour to win this time out ;).
Seems we needed Black Sweater to scare the hell out of everyone.

I don’t think Seb’s comment gave up much. I’m sure all teams knew the ultra-softs couldn’t make it to the end. What’s puzzling is Ferrari’s lack of comprehension of basic math, and the decision to use those in the first place. Everyone else ahead of him went to softs to make it to the end. The time lost to another stop can be calculated! Does Ferrari have a secret bet on Mercedes to win the WCC and Hamilton the WDC?

I couldn't believe my eyes when Ferrari was pitting. It made no sense. I was shaking my head in disbelief. First translating Lewis' radio, then lewis speeds up....and they think that's the time to pit? Perez was never going to disappear into thin air. I can only assume Ferrari's ''strategy'' was based on a HOPE that Perez would pit early...a ridiculous strategy. Vettel himself didn't believe that Lewis' tyres where finished, so with LH speeding up and not pitting, that could only mean 1 thing: The tyres where fine! If lewis did stop on that lap Ferrari had the option to follow or attempt a balls out lap and hope Verstappen wouldn't pit in the meantime. The undercut couldn't work quite simply because of Perez being there (who would move for LH).
