If Bottas has a so-so start and gets discouraged, has trouble following in the wake of other cars and difficulty passing then he will just drop back. Then, of course, they’ll sacrifice him to hold up Max and Sergio and so he won’t be a threat to our guys.

Too bad Carlos couldn’t qualify with the mediums. I wonder if they’ll let him pass Charles and go harass the leaders before an earlier stop than everyone else in the top 10. They can try an undercut and trigger pit stops early maybe and hope for a safety car.

Hydraulic leak would be pump related, maybe. Is the pump integral to the engine? Maybe the pneumatic lifters instead?

In any case, a couple of Merc DNFs would be nice.

Apparently it has to do with too much valve overlap, at least, from what I understand on it. This is what led Russell to retire in Austria already, and apparently a few more similar issues in practice etc. During one of the practices here they had to refill Lewis' hydraulics as well.

Could it be the new spec of engine combined with new settings/rpm related for this to happen? I've no clue.

Zac Brown gets a Monza tattoo. Another Ricci bet? I don't think this was publicly agreed. Meanwhile, in Chez Abiteboul...crickets, still!

Apparently a leakage problem with the pneumatic valve system.
