I don’t even think Charles would have got past Max there. Max is driving in a very mature way and had traction and straight line speed.
Our car is great, just not quite great enough.
At least the Cans can have reliability issues…

The RB aero and engine power is immense, Max had a Ferrari with it's rear wing open in his mirrors for 10 laps.

My reply was mostly towards DF1 for saying Max is a Diva, But at least Max is relevant unlike lulu. He wasnt gonna pass or keep up with Max or Carlos.

    Very accurate analysis.
We are missing a little something and with a driver like Max, we have to be absolutely perfect to stand a chance.

What you mean ? Both cars in the points, and one finished 2nd with the Fastest Lap.

It's not such a bad result, is it?

Great car from Red Bull and great driving from Verstappen.

Great efforts from Sainz and Leclerc.

Great job from Mercedes lobbying to change the rules to close the gap like the unsportsmanlike creeps we all know they are.

Charles kept the championship slightly in reach with that drive.

I called for bad luck for red bull and I was right! But the wrong damn car

Leclerc was impressive in the closing stages. Old tyres on it at the time compared to the rest and made up a few good positions. 49 points is a lot though....I know Max was 46 points behind in Australia but still...

Yes but the racing is FAR closer and much more exciting. A million overtakes don't make racing any better. Close following and putting each other under pressure does. A year ago we wouldn't have had this. Max or Lewis would've had a couple of laps after the SC to get it done or the tyres would've gone off and a 3 second gap formed, no pressure for the leading driver, mistakes aren't punished...mistakes less likely as the lead driver isn't under pressure...

Agree with that...DRS breeds lazy drivers. Not going for a move because they know it'll a) be easier to do it in the DRS zone and b) if they do it earlier, they know the guy they just overtook will get DRS on them immediately otherwise!

Alonso had a 40 point lead going into the 2012 summer break. Anything can happen, but it does look like Verstappen’s championship to lose.
