I started looking at online betting sites that let you bet on formula 1 and I found a few good ones. I thought it was interesting to see every site has Kimi ranked #1 most likely to win the WDC, and Ferrari to win the WCC.

Does anyone here bet on formula 1? I have always found sports gambling interesting but I have never participated because I didn't know enough about the sport. I wondered if anyone could share their experiences.

I wager on most races other than the season opener, brand new tracks, Monaco, or when there's talk of cars pulling out or some other major variable.

I always put money on a driver for the champ. Had money on Alonso for the 2005 season after keeping a close eye on pre season testing.. bookmakers dont seem to keep as close an eye on F1 as the more popular betting sports, i got Alonso at 19 / 1 for that season :)

Had Schumi last year at 5/3, that damn engine in japan Grrrrrrrrrrrr ...

Had Schumi and Rubens at the 2005 USGP after I knew everyone else pulled out. I like safe bets :). Still too early to see whose going to be good this years, its only testing.

I remember the bookies and their odds in 2004. It was a given before the season that Schumacher would make it. Again.

OTOH everybody thought that Senna would get the 1994 title. The Williams was the best car in the field based on the previous season and winter testing and Senna was invincible. Little did we know.

Just as 1982 was a given that either Ferrari driver would win the title. And it looked like that at the least until Hockenheim.
