My apartment is too far up river road....so pissed! I'm seriously considering getting back together with my ex cause her apartment is on blvd east.....**** I'll even marry the girl just for a better view!!!!!
I don't know much about racing and the article is unclear- would they be doing this on (presumably well prepared) public roads, or on a track? I read about this in the summer and thought the idea was shot down, but I guess not?
Streets = race track...they will be fixed up, smoothed out, have rumble strips and curbing added, as well as fences/safebarriers as well.
Definitely street track - think Meadowlands GP, although much of that was in the parking lot. I am totally stoked by this!
On the press conference Steve Matchett was speaking and comparing it to Monte Carlo and Singapore - local Mayors and govenor said NO NEW construction or paving, temporary barriers, fences, stands (and I guess garages?). Looking forward to it - and hoping it is not the next Xanadu (not likely with current administration)
Not to be a downer, but I would be shocked if this race actually happens. If I had a nickel for every race that was officially announced onto the F1 calendar and scrubbed, I'd...well, I'd have a buck or so.
