He drives as others race. Nothing new. Flashes of talent mirred in useless drives such as this. His podiums gifted. Impact to F1 = minor. Ask Ricci how he feels. He showed utter disdain for him after Lance bumped him in Austria just a few years ago. Thats all one needs to know. He lacks the consistency that FA shows and the spatial awareness. He simply not that good. No matter what the hype might be. He is not a notable F1 talent compared to those who would be his contemporaries.

As I always ask - without his family wealth, would you hire him lol????????????? Eh?

Let's see. Lance had 127 GPs, been in the points 40 times and 3 podiums. Also 1 pole to his name. Not too bad.
At the moment, he is 8thin the WDC. If he is so useless, what about the 12 drivers behind him?
Did you consider that ? He is no worse than many who came through F1 and left no trace.
He shouldn't be compared to top drivers, of course, the same for most of the grid.
Leclerc who crashes twice in one weekend gets the applauses, when Lance who kept his not clean is judged undesirable.

I rather like the combo father and son in F1, I must say. It's very touching.

And some of you thought FA was a selfish prick. Check out the exemplary gentlemanly comportment.
Smelling the flowers, flirting with the announcers, complimenting the juniors, strolling through the paddock like a legend.

Furoni's thinking, not too shabby for a Spaniard :D

That’s very selective use of evidence to make a poor point. Stroll is not useless. He’s utterly useless. Not a single F1 team would hire him on merit. He was bought the seat by his team - in fact it was worse than that, his dad had to buy an entire team and two former wdcs to try and coach mediocrity into him. It’s failed. He’s still rubbish. Alonso showers praise on him because he is very handsomely paid to do that, and every time he races against stroll it makes his own talent look even more amazing.

The bottom line is this. Stroll is a wealthy rich kid who is quite a capable track day driver. But he is no F1 pilot and never will be.

Many indulge in Stroll bashing like you do, but you avoided to answer the question I asked.
If Lance is so bad, what does that make of other drivers who have obtained less results than him.
Or maybe you have a very poor opinion of half the F1 grid at any time ?
I know he is irritating to many, but he has ticked all the boxes to be in F1, so he is perfectly entitled to be there, IMO.

Ohh no Omg I missed yet another race live:rolleyes: only a few decades ago i would get up at 3 or 4 am and would never miss one under any circumstances.

Anyway....Sir J Stewart being manhandled by a couple of goons says it all really. ugh.

    says who?

Verstappen was on the long distance tyre (proven in FP on full tanks) at the start to gain places knowing full well the medium would be the better tyre at the end. IMO the team knew the full extent of tyre wear in all race situations.

This sums up precisely what is wrong with the current state of F1.

The legendary Sir Jackie Stewart fetching some tennis player for Brundle as if Jackie is an errand boy. Lol, the security guy didn't even know who Jackie was and tried stopping him as if he was protecting the Pope. That's what happens when you call people "VIP's" and give them their own roped off sanctuary from the commoners. Couldn't have scripted a more perfect example of the douchery that is Miami.

It's pathetic. F1 now caters to people who just want another party to pose at. The fact that there is a race going on is of no consequence to them. They just want another venue where people will kiss their ass and tell them how special they are.

Meanwhile Ferrari is content selling overpriced SUV's while their F1 team is a joke. What a sad state of affairs.

Once again, you are resorting to weak analysis. The only way to judge him is versus his teammates. And guess what, he’s been comprehensively destroyed by all of them. My point stands - he’s utterly useless. The only other drivers in recent memory who come close to his level of incompetence are Latifi and Mazespin. And guess what, those two are no longer on the grid because their dads didn’t have sufficient leverage to keep them there. That’s the only reason why stroll is present and it’s a shame that a more worthy driver is denied a seat because it’s occupied by his junk.

given almost everyone started on the mediums except for Max and Ocon, and almost everyone in the other half the grid as well, is a good indication.

Perez and his side of the garage are free to choose whatever strategy he likes. Why would he choose the slower one? His engineer effectively works for him. What's good for Perez, is good for him.

Ex red bull engineer also claimed that it's nonsense that an entire car is build around Max, let alone a strategy.

RBR Daily on Twitter: "️ | Former Red Bull Engineer Blake Hinsey (@brrrake) has debunked the claims of Red Bull building the car around Max during 2015-2021☝️ https://t.co/iqr7I9BhRm" / Twitter

Jackie did it out of his own good heart to get Federer involved (federer actually knows Martin so no issues there, either).

The problem was the fat security man. These guys should know by now the who'se who. If these security guards can't even do that, what are they doing at such an event? Imagine one of these idiots working at I don't know, the oscars for example, and he doesn't recognize an actor who says hello to Leo dicaprio and gets flattened.

F1 is trying to make me believe they can't find a security guard that has an interest in racing and can decide who to let on?

F1 like most sports has many layers of the story.
You have the winners, like Honda and Max and you have the other folks giving it a go.
Ok, Stroll's dad got rich selling Polo underwear and now owns the team and the less that solid AM car company and will support his son. It's fun and Lawrence is a character which fits well into he F1 game .Not like there aren't, haven't been and certainly will be drivers who have rides due to something other than their ability and racing record (Haas and Alfa as recent examples).
On the bitching about F1 being a celebrity party, is that news, does that impact the race results? No, its about making the F1 entity bigger and stronger financially so hopefully they can use the money for stuff like getting better skilled stewards in the future.

Well, Stroll is good for a pay driver. But must be noted that he had a lot more time and training than any other pay driver.

If I were Stroll senior I´d had told the truth to my son long time ago. "Dude, maybe you can´t do F1 but there is nothing to be ashamed of, you can have a respectable career at GTs or LMP2s and earn your own money".

Those celebritards absolutely do not belong on the grid. Just more of the nonstop self promotion.

Here’s an idea: Celebritards invited to the grid are not permitted to bring their entourage or private security. Hang with your sycophants in the paddock or come alone to the grid walk. Choose.

Hamilton loved it. I believe he's the only one that loved the drivers intro......maybe because of LL Cool J and Will.I.Am were involved in it.

No entourage allowed (since it's unnecessary anyways, what risk do they have? Another businessman with millions in his bank account says hello? It's not as if the general access pleb can get anywhere near the grid, lol.

I'd further increase restrictions by them showing respect to those of F1 or name at least 5 active F1 drivers/recent champions.

Otherwise they can **** off to the nearest virtue signaling parade.

I'd go a step farther. Not with a limited set of media, race team, racing manufacturer, or the track staff/marshalls? Well then enjoy watching it from your luxury suite or the stands.

Why on earth are they letting random people who have nothing to do with racing onto the grid?
