The cops that work this area are a good laugh...Went to blancpain a few years ago invited by a member here ( @chrixxx ) at that roundabout at the bottom I accidentally drove into a 1 way street, obviously with police right there. I ask them where the VIP ticket office was as couldn't find it...''follow me'' they say. Lights on and 190kph through the streets to the ticket office on the otherside!

Mercedes look to have dialed things up a bit. Funny listening to them discuss who'll take pole...it's hard to imagine anyone but Merc at this point, no?
This will be a boring race again.....1-2 Mercedes>...................................> 10 sec nothing and than a Ferrari, probably LeC.....10 sec later Ferrari # 2 probably Vettel, if strategy allowed LeC to finish first and than the rest that is a tombola..... Ciao Oscar
So nothing changed.... Mercedes 3 thenths ahead and both team mates within 1 tenth....So obviously the difference between the cars is about 3 times as much as the difference between the drivers
Yeah, Mercedes is definitely out of sandbags, they aparently used them all... they are already fastest on Friday! Another disaster race for the Scuderia coming up....
Losing hope for a competitive season. This is a 2-year step backwards to the WDC coming down to the 2 Merc drivers. How did we go from "Ferrari has the fastest car and exciting new driver" to "Hamilton vs Bottas: the battle for the WDC"???? Is it too much to ask for a good championship this season? I don't see anything changing, unless by the slightest chance Ferrari isn't running their new engine full bore during practice.
Ferrari may never be competitive again until Mercedes gets tired of winning both championships every year and quits.
Anybody know the respective times on medium and hard compounds? Could be more important than what they do on softs, and also may play into what happens in Q2 (another Baku)
I think they're not even using the new engine. The bad news is that they're loosing time in the sector where power doesn't matter. ****.
