And that's fine as long as they don't call it a "race." That's actually pretty disrespectful to call this a race. If they got on the radio and said "we want a show," sure that's fine. It is entertainment purposes only and not essential to society at all, but it's not a race. Might as well have the NFL reset every game to 0-0 under 2 minutes and see what happens no matter the rest of the game.
When I read ms won in the 3rd best car at Ferraris you just lost all credibility… Sorry MS is better than Lewis for sure but just don’t say stupid stuff… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well we know who he drives for next year That being said, I am pretty sure my mother would have done a better job than masi this year [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm gutted again but on the happy side. Totally hoarse. Screamed my voice out as the last lap began. Being extremely happy doesn't even come close. Delirious might be more like it. At any rate super kudos to Max for driving like a gangster and to Red Bull for being way smarter in their pit strategy than MB. Gosh I loved the radio conversations, Hamilton knew that his pit crew screwed up. What an absolutely epic season which ended in what was the ultimate nail biter since the Massa/Hamilton battle in Sao Paulo. Also great to see Sainz on third. Now I'll need to go back into my cave and hibernate for 3 months.
Common guys, let's make this a great ending for 2021. Lewis is a fantastic talent who deserves great credit for 7 Championships. No one wins seven just by a great car. Max has done wonders this year with a very competative car. This is why I love F1, racers race and we all dream we could be them. I love watching these guys make history. Now, lets go Scuderia next year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should use ignore function, I did with him and it works wonders Sadly he can still quote me and I still see his quotes [emoji23] [mention]RobLay [/mention] really time to improve the ignore function with our membership fees [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They tried to F(IA) him one last time with the lapped cars, but then had to follow their own rules and do the right thing. Only Max could have raced like that in that situation and pulled it off. Over the whole season, he was better and deserved it! Damon Hill, LOL, walks away from Horner. What ****head.
Not sure how I feel about that ending - it was exciting and amazing driving, but I did feel that they didn't follow the rules by the book - though you could already argue they didn't on lap 1 by letting Lewis keep the lead. That pass on lap 1 was absolutely on the limit but just within the rules and they should have made Lewis give the place back, but they didn't and it felt a bit like the racing gods (or Masi) making up for it...
Do you honestly believe that ending was fair? At no point was Verstappen the better driver this race, Hamilton had his number. Hamilton out drove him this race, and still lost.
This was a farce. The new American ownership of the franchise clearly showed because they brought the spirit of the WWE/WWF into F1.
It has been an outstanding season. Max won fair and square, no complaints. Congratulations to him. Congratulations to Mercedes and Lewis for putting up a hell of a fight and taking it down to the last lap. Congratulations to Red Bull for the slow and steady fight back to the front over the last few seasons. Can we please stop whining about previous decisions. Both drivers had calls go for and against them this year. To me the single most controversial thing about the season was the non-race at spa which should not have given out points. But the rules are the rules, it happened. Max won the title. Good for him. Let’s see the two of them go head to head every race next year, hopefully with a few others right up there with them like Sainz, LeClerc, Russell, Ricciardo, Norris, Ocon etc.
I am totally fine - I congratulated max on beating Lewis. He was the best driver this year for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
agree with most of what you said. However, Merc did not have chances on the tire call. If you change onto softs and Max stays out and they never restart the race (under normal circumstances, that’s a big probability), Lewis loses. I think your last paragraph says it all. If there is $$$ and television involved it’s entertainment, not sport.
I wrote “over the whole season”. HAM was unstoppable today but as was noted, without Silverstone (and Baku and Hungary) this deal was done and dusted 3 races ago. Took a miracle to put things right.
I was chatting on another site and they are already referring to Latifi as the next Nelson Piquet Jr. LOL!
