So down to place 8 all team mates are paired in a row by now...all within 2 tenths of a second... So again a proof that the drivers quality is very close and they do make far less difference than the car!
Wouldn't expect it here. Red Bull was terrible in the harder tires and that's what we have all weekend...
After seeing Mercedes upgrades...our title fight was fun while it lasted. Get ready for 10+ Mercedes wins to close out the year.
Relax. It's only practice. Keep the faith! The Merc has always had the edge in practice and quali. We have the better race car. It even looks like Kimi has turned up this weekend. Bonus.
We are nowhere on long runs and will be beaten in qualifying. You can't pass here and Merc will easily get pole. This race is gone. As for the rest of the year...this was my fear from the start. In years past Ferrari starts with a good car, not the best, but good, but can't keep up with the development pace of Mercedes and Red Bull. This is just a preview of the rest of the year. Merc is relentless with upgrades and will cruise to the WDC/WCC. Ferrari likely won't be beating Red Bulls here in a few races. Watch. Was fun to be in it for a few races though. Took me back to the good ole days.
You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you believe otherwise. Notice how much closer Red Bull already is with their new upgrades. It's coming. Meanwhile Merc is their standard .6 ahead that they will maintain for the rest of the year.
Not too concerned at the moment. Seb was doing 1 19's on softs in pre season testing on this track. Ferrari not running at full pace today.
I'd love to be wrong but Spain, IMO, is the race that sets the tone for the rest of the season and Merc threw down the gauntlet with these upgrades. Ferrari brought a T wing LOL.
I agree w tifosi. Ferrari never seems to keep pace when it comes to developing the car. Merc 1-2/ for qualifying and the race. Sigh
Mercedes brought nearly half a second with them. That new nose and snowplow under is very interesting as it's practically a front end diffuser now. What an incredible development department they have
