Rules that stopped them from "driving into him"? ok, interesting wording. Every team uses that rule, in fact the #1 rule is don't hit your team mate.

Just because the FIA decided to set a warning example on him this is concidered the pure evil.... putting the polemics aside this was not more than what others (Lewis, Seb, Max or especially Senna) did as well when they drove others off the track... compare the incident alone with what Lewis did to Rosberg in Austin 2015 at the start when he simply drove him off the track and ask why Lewis was not excluded from the whole season as well...it was a crash against the closest competitor as well and Lewis did not even try to avoid it.
But because the FIA seems to measure differently it obviously suits the Schumacher-haters for the rest of time....

The reason for the chicane is speeds become too great at Tabac.

You may debate the drivers, cars, teams, and race, but not take pot-shots at other members.

    All the best,

It would make a great passing zone. You take a risk, sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.

There's no run off at Tabac. If you want more serious injuries, remove that chicane.

Monaco isn't a real F1 race anymore. In fact you can use Hamilton's victory as proof. The guy led for 30 laps on crap tires they put on by mistake where others had better ones-- and still couldn't pass in all that time.

Monaco is an exhibition, not a real race. No sense getting hurt or killed in an exhibition.

In the mid 80s when a buddy and I would do the Canadian GP on a budget, we always thought of Senna as a crybabie.

I think Schumacher was punished for something Senna did to Prost years before... the FIA executed an example on Schumacher to make sure this never happens again. But the Schumacher-haters behave like he was the one evil driver that deserved to be disqualified...and they bring it up on every occasion.

Exactly. And many of the Schumacher haters still swoon about Senna.

Compare last years Ricciardo radio to Lewis' this year. One if full of crying and whinging and blaming the team, the other got his head down and weighed his options and on with the job.

I'll leave it up to here to decide which one is which!

    To me they were alike.

Senna introduced a very controversial form of driving, completely denued of respect and sportmanship towards other competitors, and Schumacher just followed that trend.

Ballestre should have cracked the whip by banning Senna for one year to stop the rot.

At least Schumacher was disqualified for his disgusting behaviour, but that was not enough, IMO.

The sad thing was that they were both immensely talented and didn't need dirty tactics to beat the opposition and win.

    Yep largely agree.

Senna set the standard and it was deemed acceptable.

If the FIA had disqualified Senna after Suzuka 1990 (as they should have) Shumavher would have probably think twice before doing that stupidity against jacques, although i believe he reacted in the moment, unlike Senna that premeditated it, that's why i believe Senna was worst.

You can check, Schumacher had multiple incidents where he drove towards opponents squeezed them against the guardrail or the wall, and left them with no alternative but to take evasive action to avoid contact.
