I am well aware, thank you for the reply. That, is what is wrong about F1.

If the engineers were imposed by the rules a maximum wheelbase, they would work around it, and repackage the component's to meet the dimension, I have no doubt. As it is, they have complete freedom to suit themselves for maximum aero efficiency, and they use it to the full ! Also, the position of the driver could be made more upright as if was in the past, to save on the wheelbase. At the moment, drivers are laying deep in the cockpit in a very unnatural position, and have very poor visibility out of it.
But this has to be IMPOSED by the FIA that seems to restrict certains areas of a F1 design and totally ignore others. Why the cars were allowed to go larger (200 cm), when they were perfectly fine before at 180 cm? No good reason.
Too many concessions are made to the aerodynamics of cars, and to many restrictions applied on the mechanical parts, IMO. Every time the FIA comes with new technical rules, I am puzzled, but we get used to them until more idiotic ones come along. :D

Here's an idea for Monaco: make qualifying the race itself! The top 10 qualifiers get the points!
