Was it at Monza where Schumacher was VERY tough on Lewis? Schumacher was ruthless right to the end of his career, just like Lewis and Vettel.....and maybe Max? Not sure about the others though.
+91. Schumi was, if you asked a computer to make one, the absolute racer. Accurate, fast, able to assimilate and calculate strategy 'on the move, on fast laps and in corners too', cold, ruthless, fantastic. There are not enough words to describe the total package that schumi represented, and he was also, above all, able to micromanage and surround himself with exactly the people he needed to get the job done. Vettel may have a lot of his qualities, but not all. Elton, he has speed, but that's where it ends. He is an unlikable character that puts his arrogance before his team, something schumi would never have done. He cannot recognise that without the equipment, he wouldn't be a champion, and therefore he should support them by being a team player. If he is to try to beat Nico, he has to do it fairly, not bashing wheels like a gokarting middle manager on his lunch break, but on track with a proper move, respecting the team above all. He doesn't, so he will never gain my respect and he will never be the greatest even if he won 20 WDCs.
Too bad there is no more IROC series. Put two top drivers from Nascar, F1, Indycar, GT, Endurance... and let them run in identical cars to see who really is the best.
I think it was a set of comparing teammates who beat teammates in a given season, using that logic to establish superior drivers. It setup a silly loop.
Brilliant defense! It is a real shame he never got to drive these rocket ships Merc has produced the last 3 years. When given a shot at a WDC, he would have elevated his game much farther IMO. The motivation level would be huge. That said, what if he had signed to drive another 3 years like Merc originally wanted and then had his accident? Knowing that he was going to come back and drive these awesome cars only to have that happen would have been too much to take as a fan. It's bad enough as it is.
Vettel and Lewis should do all the post race interviews. That was incredibly funny to watch. What an awesome life, when it is a good day at the track.
Vettel and Ham should be banned from F1 immediately for breaching sporting regulation D352.5 - No competitor will display any hint of their own personality in public without the prior written approval (to be unfairly withheld) of the F Chat anti Ham police.
Just shows how quiet the cars are ..seagull didn't even hear the Ferrari coming.Probably the highlight of the whole 'race'
They were very stubborn sea gulls! They didn't hear it because it was travelling faster than the speed of sound. Ferrari engines....lots of horsepower
