For those that have been to the Formula 1 Italian Gran Prix in Monza, do you have a recommendation as to the best section to watch the race? I'm think sections 6b or 8. Any suggestion?

I sat at the first chicane (2b or c I think). Very good view of the cars, as they come in at high speed, massive braking, then hard accelerating away. Of course, this was with the v10s, so the sound was incredible.

I sat in section 26b (main straight) last year. Good view of the pit stops + it's shaded (in August, makes a difference, but maybe not in Sep).

I also saw the v10s' in 1993 schumacher etc loud much..........

i had an open access ticket so walked around a lot,and found a great place after lesmo 2

which leads onto the straight that goes under the bridge, you can get quite close to the action there.

They exited lesmo 2 at around 120 mph and accelerate past to 190 or so.

    Awesome.

the best grandstand is the 6C, Prima Variante. I live just ten miles from the track, and i go almost every year to watch the Gran Prix, sometimes on friday, sometimes on saturday. Try to book one of the seats in the highest part of the grandstand. On friday you get a single ticket for every grandstand, so you can move during the day. It was more excited with the old NA engines, last september was pretty boring with the new sound from turbocharged engines. Feel free to PM me if you want more information!

I was also thinking of 6C because it seems like the best place to see hard braking and cornering. Does it get hot in September sitting in 6C? My wife prefers sitting in the shade. What do you think about sitting in 26B?

Above the pits is the worst seat I ever had. They made you sit. I could not see the cars😡 I had to go inside and watch the CCTV. PISSED

6 times I've been to 6B. I prefer it instead of 6C because I can see the full speed exactly before braking. Ask for seats in the right side of the grandstand

Where or how do you ask for seats? I'm purchasing tickets on-line and I don't see where I can request seats.

It get hot in september in Monza sitting in almost all the grandstands! In my opinion you should consider the grandstands close to the prima variante ( the first corner) or the ones close to the variante ascari. On the main straight there's virtually nothing to see. Try to book a ticket in the highest part of the grandstands, you will get a better view!
