Aaah Crinoid, there's more going on in Ferrari than just the car. We had the car this year plus reliability. The driver, pit wall and chunking 4 months of upgrades(downgrades)the 2nd half of the season were the most costly for 2018.

 

If Max had really clocked him then i could imagine some action for bringing the 'sport' into disrepute etc

Looks to me like Ocon wouldn't let it go after Max pushed. Not sure I can blame him.

Honestly, Max should be angry with himself. Why he was even trying to keep a backmarker behind him is beyond me. Max feels he's entitled. Ocon was faster at the time. Just let the guy through and win the race already

I don't think anything will come from that meeting with the stewards. They'll make Max do a public apology that is disingenuous. lol

 

Liberty should throw in a couple of wildcards where a randomly chosen race would be worth double the points.

 

I completely AGREE. But Max defending a meaningless position and took too high a risk when he cut Ocon off in the corner. No reason to at all. Just let Ocon through and let him go. Who cares? Hamilton has done this many times.

Ocon was 90% off the track already, and Max cut straight across him.

Mad Max has pulled that on others, and got away with it.
This time, it cost him.

Having the officials penalize Ocon won't help make Max more cautious in the future.

The officials seem to give too much preference to the "front cars".
I can't believe they let Ham get away with pulling in front of a hot lap in Quali.
Too much "elitism" -- if you're in an "elite" car, you get "entitlements"?

It should be earned.

There's already enough randomness in the weather, track conditions, accidents and incidents, and tires.

It's pretty clear who's at fault in the Max - Ocon collision.

As a back marker you don't battle for a corner with the leader of the race.

Certainly not in a car which is clearly less capable. It's insane, Ocon was out of bounce and shouldn't have interfered with Max's racing line.

Anyone with a diff. opinion is biased and disingenious.
