Com’on Guys. Ocon made a clear mistake and these guys are racing....after a race you are full off adrenalin and if your #1 pos is stolen from you you are pissend......and Max is a racer. His dad is/was a fool but Max is doing ok. Any other racer would have done the same. It racing not curling.

And I think we all agree that Max and Ric are making the F1 worth watching. At this moment (or year) Ferrari isn’t. Let’s see for next year but they need to do something (like getting rid of Arrivabene and hire Adrian).

You mean to tell me Max has never screwed someone else's race by being overly aggressive and Max said "well, that's racing"?

Let me explain something to you. MAX F'd UP from Ocon's misplaced aggresiveness. If you can't see that then you are the "biased" one.

Max screwed Ferrari races, not back marker races.

The only reason Ocon got next to Max was his DRS. He's has no reason being there.

Force India get lapped every race, many, many times by Mercedes, RB and Ferrari. The effort Ocon all of a sudden took in that corner trying to overtake Max, Max in a car clearly superior to his own, is just plain ridiculous.

He's interferring in a race, a race in which he would've gotten blue flags the next straight and corner anyway.

 

What Max SHOULD have done: Let the backmarker, who he clearly knew what was there, go through.

What Max ACTUALLY DID. Try to defend a corner from a backmarker while feeling entitled, showed poor sportsmanship after the race, and then physically went after that driver

Now someone please defend Max again. This should be interesting.

 

Hahaha. He did, and there was a scuffle. Who couldn’t have predicted that. Handbags at dawn!!!!!

Reality is Max didn't expect a backmarker on the inside, fighting a blue flag fight……

That's the point. Ocon was on fresh SS tires, and needed to make ground while they lasted.
Max was nursing much older tires.

The difference between F1 cars is not all that large, compared to the difference between new SS and old M tires.

Max fighting for an irrelevant position was not a smart move.
Races are not won by ego and bravado, but by smart racing, and managing your assets.

Max was on the short end of the assets, at that moment.
And Ocon had his own race to run. Sitting behind a slower (at the time) car -- even if it's leading overall -- wouldn't gain him positions over cars on the lead lap.

All the cars on track are running a race, not just the leaders.

This was not smart racing, on Max's part.

 

Kimi was trying, with what he had.

I was thinking, five laps before it happened, that Ferrari should put Vettel on fresh supersofts, so he could get back in the race.
Vettel got the new tires --- then did nothing with them.

This was another race where Vettel, instead of trying to make up ground, just settled for being a "Sunday driver".

 

They came out laughing and talking like sport athletes after meeting with the stewards. Now the decision awaits.

I think our pace was better than it looked. Not enough to win but we could have beaten the Mercedes. But the long stint strategy was ruined being stuck behind a very slow Bottas for most of the race. I don't know if he's so slow or they did it it on purpose.

Ocon DID NOT RUN INTO MAX. Max turned into the corner when he KNEW Ocon was there.

Max screwed his own race for being brain dead and feeling "entitled".

I can really see Max being upset if Ocon made some kind of silly Banzai move to gain positions.

[Kravitz] The issue Vettel had getting off the line for the formation lap caused a sensor go haywire & its believed that the team had no data.

MA: "Right from the formation lap, we became aware of a problem with a sensor on Seb’s car. This meant that, for the WHOLE RACE, Sebastian had to run different settings to those we would have normally used and that made the car difficult to drive."
