2 weeks ago it was a small piece of carbon fiber on Lewis's floor that gave him issues.

Now Mercdes is saying a plastic bag hampered Bottas performance.

[Racer.com] Ferrari will use Charles Leclerc's Bahrain engine at the start of the Chinese GP weekend in an effort to understand the problem that cost him victory on Sunday.

 

Uhhhhhh... Oooo... K

 

Ferrari is just MISS(out) ! ON ! WIN ! NOW. They've had the opportunity.

 

Potentially good sign if they think that it wasn't an internal issue with the engine that's the cause.

 

He'll cry a lot this season!

watching this has become insufferable. the frustration level last night after watching the race...

 

You mean to tell me they don't have it figured out already?

 

Well, they said a lost cylinder for sure so maybe a spark plug issue IMO (Kimi 2018 late in the 2nd half ring a bell).

I think they are going to tear it down and do a rebuild then run it to see if it creeps up again.

 

Pretty sure they can't open up the engine if it's sealed.

Will probably remove coil, plug and injector, check these and borescope the cylinder. Replace parts they can change then compression check and run on dyno.

If it holds together on Friday they'll prob keep for the rest of weekend.

 

I am not a Hamilton fan but he is driving superbly, and he has the confidence of knowing that he is driving for the finest, most complete team in F1 history. The car is near bulletproof. That said I am pulling for Kid Charlemagne to kick some serious ass.

If Ferrari parts ways with Vettel at season's end I will blow a gasket.
Pay out his contract and send him packing now!! Must we endure a repeat of last season? Time has run out for stroking egos or managing fragile psyches.

Been traveling. Just watched the replay of the race. Feel really bad for Chas, but have I mentioned Vettel sucks? Sorry, I just can't stop saying it. He makes it soooo easy. I'll try to refrain in the future, but it's really up to Vettel to shut me up.

I hear what you’re saying and agree mostly. Just don’t forget that Mercedes manage the fragile Elton just as Ferrari do with Vettel. Mercedes simply do it better. Remember how fragile Elton is when things don’t go his way. He has recently learned to dig deep and find something however he is still fragile. Remember when the *****cat doll dumped him and he couldn’t drive. All of F1 had to get her back with him so he could be competitive in a race again.
