Stroll must be getting some idea that he is not a competitive driver. Nobody likes to give up the dream, but if he wants to stay in the sport, maybe he'd be better doing something else with the team.
His dad spent like a $100 million on his kid's F1 racing career. Lance can't just quit. Plus I think the Stroll's are delusional and believe they are better than they really are.
I think a driver can have a long career in F1 just cruising at the back of the field, as long as someone pays for the drive. It's only questionned now for guys like Latifi, Stroll and Mazepin, but there were many such cases in the past.
Stroll, Sr. realizes it but will never admit it--admit defeat. Until he is pressured by his investors to give up the dream he will persist. Lawrence Stroll needs an off-ramp. Where else have we heard that recently?(not making a comparison)
