Leclerc in a proper car can battle.

Great lap by Max to almost take pole.

Perez is looking much better suited as a RBR driver this season.

Sainz making the mistakes this year with a capable car.

    Charles doing his magic again!
I was afraid he lost his mojo last year, fortunately I was wrong.
Carlos will have tough time to deal with him.

Fernando had a massive lap going. He would have been 3-4. I want to see him VS the Merc’s tomorrow.
    40 and still has it

That lap came out of nowhere from Charles. Shades of Alonso in his early career. I don't know where that pace came from. Sainz was looking good, but his mistakes are troubling. He needs a reset.

Red Bull still look strong. Charles is going to have trouble defending from. We'll see if Perez keeps his third spot.

Hope the Mclarens keep the Mercs busy. Sainz can go on a different strategy now - looks as though we’ll have a red flag or two during the race.

Red Bull race pace is still an unknown, even for Max it seems.
He looked unhappy with the car all weekend.

Yeah couldn't warm his tyres, pity.

Nice lap by Charles. Interesting race tomorrow with sainz and Alonso out of position.
Interesting fight within the Mercedes team.

I'm not sure why people are surprised that Leclerc is more refined than Sainz. The only reason Sainz finished ahead of Leclerc is because of what happened to the latter at Monaco, otherwise Charles would've come out on top.

You don't spank the number one driver at Ferrari (Vettel) two years in a row, and not have something special about you.

Sainz is no slouch. He just needs to set his goals one step at a time, and instead of concentrating on beating Leclerc, focus on beating Perez and Max as often as possible, and let the rest of the chips fall where they may. Soon or later, Sainz will have a race come to him if he can get that focus.
