FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2023 - Zandvoort....Qualifying.... ▄▀▄▀▄▀ SPOILERS ▄▀▄▀▄▀

So far this has been an utterly miserable experience for me.

Plane delayed, the problem they said was that the plane hadn't arrived....as I was sitting on it!

My bag is missing. So I have no clothes. Taxi rates was pure extortion. 120 euros for a third of the distance I did in Spain (where I paid 50).

Spend 400 euro's on daft looking clothes because nothing fit me.

Weather now turned and it's ****ing freezing and the shop with tall people clothes is closed.

Train to get to the track, 90 euros per day for 6 People for a short distance (15 mins on train). Disabled lady getting into the train didn't get any assistance on the previous train and wasn't going to on the one I was in either until we luckily arrived and could help. Staff flat out told her they saw it happening and couldn't be bothered.

Beer at the track? 8 euros per. Food 12 euros. At least it's tasty and service stupidly quick.

The atmosphere at the track is great, no nasty behavior at all to the few people not dressed in max outfits. But **** me I'm seriously reconsidering publicly admitting I'm a motorsport fan, I've never seen such a huge collection of degenerate mouth breathers together.

Seats are incredibly bad. Knees wedged between the seats ahead. Much smaller friends are complaining about the seat "room" as well.

Only saw a couples of place sell non red bull gear. Mclaren and ferrari. I kinda wanted an albon shirt to be honest but no one sold anything in my size, midgets only. So I bought a max hat.

My back went and can barely stand and walk.

 

Well as a jealous US guy with a Dutch- born SO all I can say is KUDOS to you for being a true F1 fan and dealing with the crap- while it obviously is not pleasant I would trade you the actual experience versus watching it on the couch in Denver- kudos to you for dealing with the strife to actually be there!! Cheers !!

Really sad to read your own experience..
Last year France GP was a pure disaster for me.
Formula one is becoming like football I fear..

 

Last year in Canada was **** show for me as well. Really not worth the cash.

F2 sprint is a wet mess lol. Clearing skies to appear soon it seems.

 

Ok - nice report. I hope at times this is fun and the back improves so you can get around. Hang tough. You are at the circuit. Its always a good atmosphere in most cases!

 

F2 restart fizzed out. No racing currently. A good amount of rain falling off and on.

F2 is done - racing will not restart again.

 

do yourself a favor, never come to a NASCAR race

I'm going with 1 Ferrari out in Q1 and 1 in Q2.
