Max should have been coached better to come up with a better excuse
I love how tifosi find anything to celebrate. Ferrari is not doing well this year... wait a minute... AlphaTauri are Italian! Ferrari doing better this year but still meh... wait a minute... Ricciardo is Italian!
Congrats to McLaren! Amazing result. 1-2 and fastest lap. Full house of points! The party will be long and well deserved. Max did really well to take out Ham. Gives him the best outcome for the championship as he doesn’t lose any points to Ham. Halo saves the day again. Ham is very lucky to be injury free. The incident should go down as a racing incident. If they have to give one driver a penalty, then it’s clearly Max that gets it, but I think that would be harsh. Ferrari result was actually pretty good in the end, but still not good enough. And more points for Russell! Solid again. Overall, great race!
Lulu made his own luck there pulling up late next to max. How does max turn left. Lulu was being aggressive. He got away with it with Michael years ago. So he likes to keeps trying that move. But it’s a matter of perfect timing that didn’t pan out. Simple
I understand your perspective. But sadly, Max himself does this all the time. Leave enough room for someone on the outside of the first half of a chicane then run right across for the second half of the chicane forcing the other driver to either back out or take avoiding action. Faced with this exact scenario in reverse, Max chose to go for it rather than bale out, and in this occasion the result went his way beautifully as they both went out which nicely protects Max’s Wdc lead. I believe it’s a racing incident. But I can understand why the stewards might see it differently (as they have no man vegetables anymore).
I’m asking how is it different? Because even Horner sees Max being aggressive in turn 2 (they ARE competing for the wdc, after all). He was the trailing driver attempting a pass at the chicane. I found it interesting, though, that Horner didn’t respond more definitively to Hill suggesting Max knew he would crash into Hamilton there. Also interesting that Max brought up Silverstone in his response.
I think Lewis expected Max to take the kerbs earlier (something Max isn't required to do at this point). Max stayed alongside as he is allowed to, Lewis didn't leave the room, and both their races where ended. Paul di Resta just said Lewis should've left more room. He knew where Max was.
Looks like Mad Max is back..stewards might give him a slap on the wrist to try calm him down a bit . You don't end up on top of another car and just walk away nonchalantly like whatever....without looking back or checking if the driver is basically ok
Nahh, AUSSIEs are another kinda breed, they're hairy and eat croc stakes with spiders for dessert...and they speak funny PS: And they have by far the best subforum on Ferrarichat!
At the moment of the crash it was the best outcome for Max as he would have lost points in the race. So I'm not unhappy. Would have been nice if Leclerc could have made it to the podium, so close yet no cigar. Another solid drive by Stroll outscoring Vettel. Happy for McLaren, they deserved some good results after such a long and miserable time.
Great race and well earned McLaren success. It is amazing the turnaround that Zak Brown and Andrea Seidl have orchestrated from the mess that Ron Dennis had made of McLaren, they took a very toxic team and have really made them contenders. Hamilton/Verstappan was nothing more that a racing incident and was inevitable. Happy for Danny Ric, Lando and McLaren, good to see Ferrari still improving.
The cars need to be smaller... Just saying. They're trying to move cars as large as SUVs through corners that only have one possible line through.
