    NASCAR-style playoffs is next ;-)

I liked the Sky interview with Ross Brawn yesterday where he was hinting at reverse grids and the interviewer said “we don’t like to see gimmicks”. Brawn answered that he didn’t like gimmicks either but was not very convincing.

The 2 Mclarens started right behind Max, not Lewis.

They are trying very hard to make it a gimmick fest.

I also remain of the opinion that keeping DRS for next year is a mistake. F1 seems to believe that quantity of overtakes = good racing.

    DRS: biggest gimmick yet.

I hate that they put it on junior categories. Makes for lazy, spoiled drivers

And I still don’t understand why DRS is used in qualifying!!? It’s meant to promote passing, so why in Q?

Just proves that it’s a gimmick.

Or a response to all the systems the engineers thought up to reduce drag in the straights. ;)
(Remember the air blow-by system to "stall" the wing?)

  8. Nah.

Simply stating that the electric boost was quitting too soon would be good enuff for me, along with no lesson.... :)

So how about a quick primer then: not just electric boost stopped but also turbo boost reduced. Power clipping. :)
