Oh dear. That’s a smoking gun if ever I’ve seen one. I wonder if they will reopen the inquiry into this incident? Personally I hope they don’t. Yes, max obviously drove ham off the road. That’s what he always does when an opponent is on the outside of him. He had to go off track to pretend to be unable to make the corner otherwise I suspect the fia might have penalised him immediately.
Just hand the trophy to LULU. WAWAWAWAWA How far was Max supposed to turn the wheel ? This sport sux .
Like I said… Lewis had many lucky calls in the past… this one it was Max’s turn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
But I’m Austria Perez got Twice 5 seconds penalty for the same stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Max bumped Charles off before in Austria and Stroll forced Ricci off. Later on in the review a few days later of the Stroll / Ricci runoff of the track, Masi said he should have penalized Stroll lol Masi is dull light bulb. Useless. Cant decide which shoe to tie first lol.
Yep. F1 can only win if there is a last race title decider. Regardless of who we support this is getting me pumped just like 94,97 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If reversed RedBull would have Marko on all camera's demanding this as well lol!!!!!!!!!!! Mercedes asks for right to review over Verstappen/Hamilton Brazil incident By:Jonathan Noble Nov 16, 2021, 10:47 AM Mercedes has asked the FIA for a right to review over Max Verstappen’s driving at Formula 1’s Brazilian Grand Prix, following the appearance of new onboard footage.
It is interesting how at Silverstone it was argued that Hamilton was understeering and caused an accident by being 'out of control' for which he was penalized by the FIA. At Brazil, Max understeered so severely that he could not negotiate the corner even by himself let alone leave racing room to a competitor that had a right to a car width on the exit. Hamilton literally had to jump out of the way to avoid a collision (a familiar pattern when racing Max BTW) so I find it strange that the FIA did not even see the need to investigate. Hard racing is one thing but this is a totally different animal. Mercedes is correct in requesting a review of the incident. As an aside I had a really nice conversation with Mika Hakkinen this past weekend where we discussed his Spa pass on Michael in 2000 (I was there). Mika was always a very clean driver looking at the big picture while Michael could really get the red mist and think of only the present. I have a lot of respect for Mika and history has judged him as a real gentleman while still being bloody quick.
So what happens when Lewis pushes Perez off the track and almost into pit lane entry in Turkey 2021???
Completely different corner geometry and braking requirements. Silverstone was a high-speed sweeper with no braking going on, and no runoff. Brazil T4 typical braking corner with generous run-off that invites late braking and offers cars options on overtaking. Several times during the race Sun, and what you often see in turns like this, the outside driver forces the inside to late brake and run wide while the outside brakes and dives inside. Ham had that option, but chose to continue on the outside knowing full well that Max was not going to make that corner.
That assumes that Max's moves will be predictable. Passing a guy that you've already had accidents with is tricky. Hamilton anticipated properly and both were able to finish. The part about Silverstone that is seemingly forgotten is that Max was defending his lead very aggressively during that battle also. Much like Sunday, at high-speed the margins for error are infinitesimally small. Taking the resulting crash out of the discussion and focusing only on the moves to defend, Silverstone and Brazil share a lot of similarities.
but wasn't Perez on the wrong side of the pit entry bollard? the video is on line, just can't post it here due to F1 restriction
Ah but Perez touched the others in those, didn't he? Here neither driver touched each other, and both went off. Better incident was norris not touching perez and receiving a penalty, and just about every single person on the planet was in disagreement with that penalty. And still norris didn't go off track.
