The season was over weeks ago. As a tifosi, If I could wish for a moral victory tomorrow, It would be to have Michael Schumacher's son on the podium.

    Godspeed Michael.

Just happy to keep the race dry so there are no easy alibis for both Ferraris struggling to stay in the top ten. Mercedes deserves to be second in the Constructors championship...they are out there fighting and working every race. Everyone starts on the softs...one stop and go to yellows. They can match the reds when the load is lighter. But starting on yellow could force the driver to use them up too fast trying to hold positions...and then be running out of the softs in the last ten laps. I wonder what poor Latifi will do after the season. Would anyone in any racing series hire him? I would love to here that Binotto won't be around for the next race as well.

Dont worry about it, if they over spent, they will only be copying the champions and leveling the playing field.

They must simply be more efficient. Some manage to achieve more with less.

Sorry but I don’t buy this explanation considering the budget cap context.

What matters is what the FIA finds. The opinions of followers are totally irrelevant in F1.

So why are you chatting with everyone here ?
Because you want to share knowledge and opinions.
    Like everyone.
FIA are under influence since ages like all power authorities.
One can just be upset about the constant bienveillance they are always demonstrating with Mercedes..

I simply don't share that sort of paranoia.
Mercedes or Red Bull success cannot only be explained by lobbying, cheating, bienveillance and conspiracy.
You are upset because you favourite team isn't performing at the moment like you would like.
But Ferrari used its influence in the past and has been at the top and dominated too when it was better.
Since, it has been completely overtaken by 2 teams that didn't exist when it was dominating.
Red Bull and Mercedes have shared all the championships since 2010, completely eclipsing Maranello.
I am of the opinion that Red Bull and Mercedes have done a better job; it's that simple.
You look for explanations somewhere else ... hence constant accusations.

True on the performance side about RB and Mercedes.
Of course I am upset because my beloved team is no more dominant.
Truth is I am upset either because we are politically weak against Mercedes.
But I am not naïve about Mercedes-FIA relationship.
    That’s it.

Let's talk about it. Is Ferrari really hardone by?
Two ex-Ferrari team principals, Jean Todt and and Stefano Domenicalli reached positions of influence in F1.
Todt became the FIA president, Domenicalli is CEO at Liberty at present.
Ferrari also recruited Laurent Mekies from the FIA, who is acting now as deputy to Binotto.
I don't think the lines of communication between Ferrari and the FIA can be that bad !!!

Todt was truly a Ferrari man.
Problem he was betrayed by LDM in the end.
And he isn’t a kind person if you see what I mean..
Dominicali has no opinion bar his bank account.
And Mekies seems like an incompetent if we refer to this catastrophic year so no real influence..
    What a lobbying team !

How can you say that when the fuel sensors issue at Ferrari in 2019 was swept under the carpet, and dealt with in private ?
Don't you think that raised suspicion in F1 circles, that one team benefited from preferential treatment,?
What was apparently a gross violation of the technical rules was never brought to the open, never explained, but mysteriously closed by a handshake and a brown envelope changing hands. Move on, there is nothing to see !!!
    Ferrari politically weak ?

At least Mercedes was dragges over the coals for the illegal tyre test !

IMO having ex-Ferrari men in a position of FIA power is actively working against Ferrari. Everyone at the time when Todt became FIA president was sure that the FIA was completely paid and bought for now, finally the British Media would be proven correct for once and FIA really would actually stand for Ferrari International Assistance this time. IMO to prove this wrong the FIA have actually been against Ferrari in plenty of decisions more often, and also making several significant mid season decisions that swayed in favour of other teams. Coincidence or not? Either way, Ferrari certainly doesn't hold a position of power any longer, and lost that by the time Todt took the FIA seat.
Mekies is as incompetent as Binotto and his time at the FIA really hasn't helped Ferrari anything.

Mercedes' political grasp on the sport everywhere is still very much apparent, however. TD39 and the 2023 rule changes are exactly what they asked for. And exactly how did the RB leak to them? And no one is looking into the leak at all...
