I thought that was the best Sprint race of all time by some margin.

Mercedes look seriously fast in race trim. After seeing Max struggle, it's hard not to put them as favorites for Sunday.

I am curious about the race procedure infractions that include Hamilton. My hunch is the FIA will do nothing to Hamilton if he broke any rules because he is set to start 2nd in Brazil. But at this point, it is completely unknown what even happened.

Leclerc didn't seem on it like Sainz. Sure Carlos has the fresh engine, but Leclerc is probably completely demoralized which is understandable. His team has failed him so many times.

Kudos to Magnussen for staying in the top 8, but Schumacher might have been even more impressive. Great drive for him.

Alonso once again has something to mess up his race. Ocon stays with tradition by colliding with his teammate. I did think Alonso was at fault for the collision on the straight which damaged his front wing and ruined his race. So he needs to take responsibility for that. But that was a hell of a good save when he was all sideways out of T4.

Lance Stroll should lose his license. Constantly he makes these late moves that caused a HUGE wreck against Alonso, and he does it again against his own teammate a couple weeks later. It never ends with this undeserving punk. His driving against Schumacher was very questionable as well. It's a shame that such a garbage unsafe driver could have a 20 year F1 career as long as Daddy owns the team, meanwhile proper talents will never get a chance.

Lmao, I can't with Binotto. If he cared, they could have easily swapped the Ferrari's in Mexico. I don't think Charles really cares.

Binotto at this point is just carrying around a life size mirror with the amount of deflecting he's doing.

Max ran with the mediums so he can have an extra set of softs for tomorrow's race.

Expect a masterclass strategy call from Hannah Schmitz tomorrow.

Hamilton's is tougher to judge from those shots, but Zhou looks way outside the grid box, but so does the car infront of him. Using Tsunoda's car as a reference, the grid boxes appear to be very tight.

It's one of those cases where it may be silly penalties, but the rules are rules and others managed to park their car correctly. So IMO, penalties should have applied to all of them.

The 5 second penalty is pretty much pointless, and a bit of salt in the wound since he paid for his mistake by dropping to the back of the grid with a pitstop and using a second set of tires. All in all, Alonso got kicked to the curb in this deal.

Meanwhile, Stroll continues to drive like a guy on a mission to cause big crashes, yet somehow doesn't get any penalties on his license, and only a slap on the wrist from time to time.

Stroll got added 3 penalty points to his superlicense. He's now at 8 for 12.

The dude needs to GO. He is a horrible technical director and team principle.

You see Mercedes with Toto and Allison? That's how it's done. They started with an absolutely atrocious car, then got their heads down, didn't make excuses, and developed like gangbusters, never giving up. Toto lobbied off track for TD39, updates kept coming, and here Mercedes are, faster than Ferrari now.

Ferrari couldn't find their ass with both hands, and are a disgrace to the legacy of Enzo at this point.

Thank you. It's still extremely inconsistent from the Stewarts/FIA

Sainz has a minor misjudgement and clips Max's wing during an overtake. It's not only considered okay, it's praised as a good pass. I agree with no penalty, let them race. He also had 1 or 2 very late defends against Hamilton. I agree with no penalty, let them race.

Alonso gets forced off the track by Ocon, some contact, a big moment and a big save by Alonso. I agree with no penalty, let them race.

Stroll pushes Vettel off the track, forcing him onto the grass at very high speeds. Gets 10 second sprint race penalty and 3 pts on his license. Proceeds to swerve and move under braking against Schumacher, no additional penalty.

Stroll in USA dangerously late defends which causes a huge crash at roughly 300 kph which damages Alonso's car and compromises his race, let alone the danger to his safety. Gets a 3 place grid penalty and 2 points on his license.

Alonso misjudged his pass, clips Ocon's car but fortunately does not cause damage to his car. Instead damaged his wing, forced to pit, and goes to back of the grid. Gets 5 second sprint race penalty, and 2 pts on his license. (Remember Sainz clipped Max which caused damage to HIS car during an overtake)

Gasly gets 1 point for forcing Stroll off track. (Remember Ocon got nothing). He also received 1 point for exceeding track limits in Austria, a race where 16 drivers exceeded track limits a total of 43 times.

The inconsistencies, the politics, and blatant favoritism's that happen in F1 are enough to make anyone sick.

+1 Amen. Toto and Lawrence Stroll are totally wired-in. George Russell and Lance would make an awesome duo.

I don't think there is any team order at Mercedes at the moment.
They are not in a position to win any championship this year, so there is no position to preserve.

Wouldn't team orders be applicable if this is Ham's only decent opportunity to keep his race win/per year streak going?

This is another stat that is not part of any championship.
Not sure if Mercedes is interested in entertaining it.

If the softs make that much of a difference tomorrow Ill be surprised, otherwise there was a large gain somewhere overnight from the MB side. Im curious what happened with RB or if the Meds were that terrible
