New day. Let's hope things go well for the organsizers tonight and tomorrow for their sake and for the fans. These times though are utterly ridiculous but it is what it is. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Liberty Media grand prix in their home USA... where Americans will have to record it to watch it. Anyone that recorded FP2 didn't get to see it because it was delayed by 2 hours.
FP2 available as replay at espn.com/watch and look for replays tab. log in with your cable provider... https://www.espn.com/watch/player/_/id/eee716f3-4722-4e0b-b99d-5e5ad1bd4a81 sjd
I cut cable TV a few months ago and see F1 TV app as a major upgrade to ESPN. F1 was about the only thing I really watch besides YT, Netflix or Disney+ so now saving >$1000 a year and getting better F1 coverage. Chosing any driver for on demand in-car footage is the killer app, but no longer having to think about recording is another bonus. Woke up this morning, fired up coffee and the Chromebook, read through the great F-Chat thread on the debacle overnight then watched FP2. Will watch qually and the race before checking F-Chat
Hold on. I'm in the United States. Qualifying is midnight, Las Vegas time? This is a "home race" and qualifying is @ 2:00am central standard time?
Well on the bright side if I’m having trouble sleeping I can put qualifying on at 3am and pass right out!
50m more DRS added to the long straight. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Guess the site was down for everyone! Excellent pole from Leclerc. Shame about the penalty for Sainz, looks like I was correct on Ferrari lock out and Williams doing well, too.
Actually no because of the low downforce Monza like setting Drs is very ineffective, all drivers said it. That is why main straight drs zone has been lengthened by 50 Metres but how much of a difference that will make remains to be seen.
So no F-Chat for the entire qualifying? I'd go P&R but don't need another two day ban. Any delayed time updates? Anyone... Anyone...
Happy to see Leclerc on pole. A win would be super sweet and make me forget about the crap leading up to the race.
Seven poles with this car isn’t bad at all. At least we have a powerful engine. And Vasseur is doing a decent job it seems. Some hope for next year ?
Good job by the red cars. I watched it, but it looked to me like there was just about 0 emotion from anyone. Was good qual tho. Interesting to see Williams up there.
Just breezed thru it now on the dvr. No way I’m staying up at that time to see the current F1. Back in the day it was worth it. Fond memories of staying up when I was in high school to not miss a minute. I always made sure to tape everything so I could go back and rewatch parts. I guess I’m old because I really miss F1 from those times.
I will be up for the race but its not crazy early @0700am for me. I have watched nothing of the weekend so far. No loss at all. I feel for the fans for whom only were attending practice and get no refunds. FUNK OFF LIBERTY - WRONG!
