Those who always criticize Alpine are strangely quiet...how predictable... Apparently this is a 50 million Dollar prize money jump going up to 6th!

Max needed to make something happen today to put distance between himself and Norris, and man did he! He was on another level today. He was just driving around people, and we know that Red Bull is not the class of the field these days, to say the least.

Good for Alpine to have some good fortune. Shame about Sainz. Oh, and what a pass from Leclerc on that restart!

Champions drive from Max. Unbelievable performance considering the start point, the conditions and the pressure. Surely that’s game over and the 4x WDC is in the bag.

Incredible performance from Alpine. What a result for them in the constructors.

The rookies failed to impress today. All underperformed except maybe Lawson. Shame.

even blind squirrels get a nut every now and then :)

after such a miserable, chaotic season it's nice to see them get a result.

Even an Alpine fan should recognize a blind luck race when it occurs. I'm happy for them but understand that this result in no way changes the clusterwagon that is happening at that team.

I am by no means an Alpine fan and even less so a Renault fan, yuck, but, but they both performed amazingly, the little pit viper Ocon and Pierre, a good guy.

Let's see if the young English guy now in charge can improve things; not impressed by him at all so far but very early days.

Max just put in the Championship drive today. Does this mean Lando and Oscar are free to race each other? I hope so. Ferrari just lost out there.

We were worthless last year with tires that heated too much, I am okay with one crazy race where we have low tire temps

This has to stop at McLaren; they cannot ask Piastri to make way to Norris who wastes the effort.

I start doubting that Norris is WDC material. Piastri looks stronger to me.

Apart from Max winning, I wouldn't read too much in today's race; It was a freak race that brought a freak result.

Alpine isn't likely to repeat that soon.

Oh there you are, what a surprise...anybody who knows anything about motorsport knows such races are unpredictable and while I can't stand Ocon he and Gasly seized the chance better than all others.

I remind you that Pierre finished second in Sao Paulo a few years ago in similar conditions.
