+1 was a supremely idiotic move. And LOL at the Lewis "where I came from" debate. LH looks like he grew up middle class, oh the horror of it all... Guy seems to act like he grew up in the slums of Sao Paulo.
Ok my misunderstanding. However, Monaco was a culture shock for me. People leaving their babies outside stores, doors open, police everywhere, Ferrari's in public garages with no protection. I couldn't believe it
He's dumb enough not to realise there is a difference between privilege and money. Hamilton might not have been rolling around in cash, but he certainly had a privileged upbringing with a comfortable environment and fully funded racing career. His dad sacrificed and made sure of that. The guy is like a theatre luvvie, constantly needs hugs and attention !!!
According to Zoopla (From: Property details for 4 Woodfield Road Stevenage SG1 4BP - Zoopla ): "Property details for 4 Woodfield Road, Stevenage SG1 4BP Detached house, Freehold, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, 3 Reception rooms Zoopla Estimate: £791,000 Public info: Property type: Detached house | Tenure: Freehold | Last sale: £540,000 | Sale date: 17th Feb 2012 - Previous sales Lewis Hamilton, Racing Driver (lived here 1997 - 2001)" So Lewis lived here from @ aged 12 to 16 years old. A detached four bedroom/two bathroom house in one of the nicest parts of Stevenage was not cheap - Even back in 1997~2001! (I used to live in the next Town over from Stevenage, and went to Stevenage college around the time that Lewis was born (one of My Brother's was born in the same hospital as Lewis - Just 23 days later!), and I've still got friends who live around there, so I've got a pretty good idea of the area Lewis grew up in.) So how did his Father go from spending all of their life savings and taking out a second mortgage in order for Lewis to go racing, to living in an expensive detached four bedroom house within 4 years? - Something doesn't add up! No, Stevenage wasn't Monte Carlo, but it was hardly "The Projects" either! Lewis Hamilton likes to make out that he grew up on the mean streets of the ghetto, but the reality is quite different! - In the words of Public Enemy: "Don't believe the hype!"
Thanks for the information,at a guess i would think his father took out a loan to buy the house,he was in IT at the time i believe,or perhaps his second wife was cashed up ? i dunno if that Daily Mirror article holds any water either.
Middle class is the equivalent of the slums compared to most f1 drivers. He says a lot of dumb things but this I don't think is one of them.
Most people take up a mortgage loan to buy a house, eltons dad was no different to anyone else. Stevenage isn't Monte Carlo, but a slum it isn't. Elton is full of it
Best advice ever. LH lives on hype and exists in a hype social media world where you create your own Kartrashian-esque reality detached from the actual one you are in or came from!
Elton's fantasy that he grew up in some dirty ghetto ass crack den when in reality he grew up in the better part of stevenage ''my daddy had to get a second mortgage!'', as an excuse why he deserves the championships more. I don't think he completely comprehends what a true ghetto is. Most ghetto peoples kids don't go karting every weekend, let alone at the highest level which costs serious money. His rapper friends mostly use the excuse of growing up poor to get street cred, and to be fair, most of them actually did. Plenty of rappers have grown up in crackhouses or streets. These days for some insane reason, people who are wealthy always have to drone on about the fact that they weren't born with a silver spoon up their rear end. Reason? I don't know, probably in a bid to make the poor relate to them, or something.
It's probably to gloss over their success and make it look more outstanding. "I came from nowhere, and look where I am at now! And I owe it all to myself, blah, blah, blah ..." To me, it's insecurity.
He has the nerve to caution Nico about yellow flags LOL!! F1 News - Hamilton: Maybe it's because I'm black...
Thanks, always good to get news from 5 years ago. All this luurrrvvvv for Lewis is because we all just witnessed probably the most boring F1 'race' in the last 10 years or more.Which he won easily a few days ago.
Really? LH is the last person to give advice. He has record of making sure what works for him is just perfect. For others it seems not as much. He is a joke. Winning or losing with grace are not his forte at all!
And it is funny that someone who tries to get as much attention and "support" out of the fact that he is black and grew up "poor" claimes that it is unfair that he is treated different because of his skin colour...It is easy to label everyone against you as racist as this is an argument you can never invalidate if you are accused of (be it right or wrong). Fact is that both he and Tiger Woods had a lot of advantages (marketing wise) because of being the first successful coloured person in their sport. Certainly there are some "old conservative farts" who might have a problem with that but it also got them a huge amount of supporters.
I just don't get it with the passionate hate. Lewis is, by any measure, a phenomenally successful F1 driver. Get over it. He isn't trying to be your friend.
Where do you see passionate hate? I do not see more hate than senseless worship...Lewis does his best to polarize and then one should not complain if there is as much shadow as might...get over it.
