Because he's winning. Back when Sebb was dominating F1, a lot hated him.;)

+1. He bully his way in Monaco and then mouths off in the link I posted. He cannot have it both ways as a competitor. He is not beyond reproach. He was driving like an idiot that day and then opened his mouth. That part of him has not changed.

His calling into question Nico and the yellow flags was beyond ridiculous. No team. He is alone yet hails the team. Pathetic. His actions toward Nico before and then after winning are useless. I could care less about LH or what he has done. Enough of him for me.

Lewham acts and goes about his business in quite a disingenious way:

    - Actively approaching FIA over Rosbergs pole lap
    - Squeezing Rosberg out of turn 2 (or was it 3?) after race start wenn he already had the turn
    - Backing up Rosberg; messaging on the radio having trouble keeping pace, but wenn the team threatened to let Rosberg pit first he suddenly found pace again ("over managing" the race, as Wolff called it)
    - Giving Gutierrez the finger, but wenn he gets confronted with it after the race he pretends it didn't happen, saying making another gesture.

That's just one race weekend with Sir swagger. And we've seen many, many examples like it over the years.

If your in his camp, some things could be labeled as clever, other things though not so much, the combined picture tells the story.

    Not my kind of driver/athlete.

Then you must also hate Schumacher, Senna, Prost, Alonso and Vettel? They all operated the same way, and all got to the top of the F1 tree as a result. It goes with the territory. The most successful drivers always pushed the rules and ethics as far as they could, and often beyond reasonable. That's just the way it is and has always been. The alternative is called Massa.

That alternative almost won Lewis's first championship.......(and may I add; a championship that was out of Lewham's Senna'ésque control).

But you miss the point, while trying to cash in on another.

Or to put it differently; Schumi, Senna, Prost and Alonso were more manly in their approach, Lewham is more *****y.

Alonso today has wished Rosberg ''good luck'', as Elton is ''a tough team mate''. To put it diplomatically.

    Very much so.

Kimi's interview was quite a good insight regarding Alonso. He was asked if he suffered a lot in 2014 when Alonso criticized him every weekend, Kimi's response was very simple ''No I didn't suffer, but the team doesn't work well when inside there are 2 teams''.

Alonso beat Kimi like a red headed step child. He's better than Seb too. Ferrari should have kept him, oh well live and learn.

    I'm a kimi fan too.

But I have to say, he's been sucking even before Seb came onboard. His excuse then was the front-end / steering design was not to his liking...now that it's all been adjusted to mate w both drivers...he's still sucking, sucking less, but still sucking...

Next season should be his last.

Both Alonso and Seb have beat Kimi with ease and it's more reason he should be put out to pasture! I guess he's in his collecting paychecks mode until he does retire!

IF he is as good at giving useful, technical feedback as people say, then he is a valuable asset to the team. Ferrari has won championships with much larger deltas between their drivers. A great deal of people claim anyhow that if you want to win the WDC you best have a designated #2.

Hasn't hurt the current Mercedes Team nor the McLaren Team when Prost and Senna were on the track, so who knows if that's valid? It probably becomes more relevant when you have a good, but not a dominant car!

No one, that's why it keeps going tits up for them. The only reason they don't have a designated #2 is because they don't need a #2 driver to secure #1 in the championship. They can keep taking points of each other, #1 will be guaranteed for both titles anyways.

And obviously they thought that it will be clear when they signed Hamilton for multiple times the salary of Rosberg. Rosberg was never intended as a no.1 driver, neither under Schumacher nore under Hamilton...The problem is that the difference is not big enough to have a clear no1/2 out there as Rosberg was better than expected...

    Yep.

That's why it always makes me laugh that the obvious Elton hangers on always ***** that Rosberg is ****, useless and whatever else insults they can think of that time...If he's that bad, that doesn't make Hamilton much better ;). And then watch them back pedal...:D.

Reason No.1 is ofcourse the Mercedes is far too dominant for the rest of the field. They don't have to make the choice.

Even in Hungary RedBull was still surprised by the dominance of the Mercedes car.

Let's face it; both Rosberg and Hamilton are very fortunate to be where they are.

Yes it will be interesting to see how fast they switch to team order as soon as someone (maybe RB next year) will come close for an entire season, not just a single race...
