Niki Lauda was a man on great integrity, not afraid to put his career on the line for his conviction. Such men are very rare these days ...
Yes he did. Lauda didn't mind to be criticised for his action. Just after a life-changing accident, for me Lauda came out taller from taking this brave decision.
You can't question Lauda's courage when you look at what he did after the accident that seriously burned him and almost killed him. 6 weeks later, he climbed back in a race car and place third in the race. Getting our of the car in Japan was his choice and he asked no one else to do the same. Lauda lost the chamionship to Hunt. But he came back later and won his third WDC.
having rewatched the race you've proven me wrong. Lewis had one of the all time great drives and I was completely wrong about what I said, never have I seen a finer driver in the last 5 years, just super stunning all weekend, he dragged that wheelbarrow to an unheard of place. Sir Lewis is the greatest.
Get a grip, he passed a bunch of cars he should have qualified in front of. If it had been a engine change penalty, etc. I'd give him more credit but he created the mess he was in, both days don't forget. He finished where he has finished all year and he did not have an exceptional race as a lot of people are trying to say. He finished around(maybe behind) where he should have started. AND most of those spots he gained because ferrari actually made a good strategy call, which rarely happens. Lewis did what he was supposed to do, but wasn't a great race by any means.
I once watched a man finish a triathlon from my couch and said it was easy, not great. He had a good recovery race. Showed his strength in the wet as we already know. He's had many more wet race performances that are more worthy. Its all good.
Dude, ANYONE finishing an Ironman Triathlon is freakin hard. People poop on themselves and pee on themselves. A mans BMI(body mass index is probably below 5). A woman loses her menstrual cycle due to the training. I USED to swim 7 miles a day back in my youth...fyi.
Did you actually watch the race? apart from the laps behind the safety car, the race was actually not wet...
No, the race started off wet, then it dried out since they went on slicks. The race itself wasn't a FULL wet race.
The track was drying and from the 12th lap, everybody began to go for slicks (Hamilton was actually first, which was the good strategic move). TBH, I had the mistaken feeling that the switch to slicks was earlier.
Planet delusional. He was passing cars he himself screwed up and qualified behind. He(or you since you are him or work for him) showed no strength. He had an average race that stalled out around cars he has been racing and finishing around all year, behind his teammate. And as others have said, it wasn't a wet race, it started damp and went dry quickly when lewis and his team made a good strategic move. You can declare it a "wet race" all you want, doesn't make you right.
No problem if you feel different man. He has got multiple magnificent wet race performances on record. No need to fight about this one. You can have this one.
We're we talking about other wet races? or is this the thread for the 2025 belgium gp? Because I was talking about this race. Oh wait, you moved the goal post again. And so gracious of you to admit he didn't have a great race.
Haha. I've said this before, your demeanor is terrible and your arrogance is so unappealing. Do you treat people like this in the real world? Like coworkers, family, etc? Or are you just a keyboard warrior?
