Chuck was a man possessed today and Ferrari answered the bell. I saw Leclerc was talking to Raikkonen before the race. Maybe he channeled his inner Kimi for my favorite radio exchange of the race:

Verstappen didn’t even race in F2… he should be removed from the grid immediately as he’s not proven enough for F1. Or maybe not. Sometimes, the teams know more about driver potential than us keyboard warriors.

Not for me, his first win at Monza was over the top, it rerally was, but yesterday was for sure a masterclass.

Charles was great but he was also helped by a good car with good speed and good tire degradation. You can’t really compare his pace to the McLarens because the plan going in was to one-stop, so he was managing his tires more than the McLarens.

Of course if the results were reversed—with RBR or a McL winning with a one-stopper—the usual, biased posters would rave about how a non-Ferrari team and driver outsmarted Ferrari with brilliant driving and strategy, and a car with excellent tire degradation.

Yes and Charles now understands how to manage tires. I always felt he was to hard on his tires. If he keeps driving like he did at Dutch and Monza Grand Prix, I think we can see another couple wins this season.

The ItalianGP was less than 1km/h slower than the fastest F1 race of all time!

    2003: 247.585km/h (Record)
    2024: 246.680km/h

Leclerc completed the 53 laps in just 21.3s more than Schumacher The '24 cars were way quicker in qualifying, and less so in the race (due to the refueling). MSC could hammer very low laptimes for longer, however, achieving a better average pace LEC was 2.44s/lap quicker ON AVERAGE than last year on the same M-H strategy (thanks to the resurfacing). Had he been 0.4s/lap quicker than that he was he would have beat the record!

I'll load up all 4 front wings next to each other for comparison but the Mclaren and Mercedes flex the most than RedBull and Ferrari. Same track and same part of the track.(ItalianGP)

Thank you! One thing It seems to be evident is that the Mcl wing loads/ unloads MUCH faster. They all flex but thats what I really noticed. Ferrari seems to be the least motion, at least what I see.
