Well I am not fully convinced by Piastri right now.
With experience, will it be able to fix pace inconsistencies that we have witnessed this year during some races ?
    We will see.

I disagree, Lando is the better driver. He's putting himself in position to fight Max, who in my opinion drives dirty (and always has) when he doesn't have the best car. Piastri is not putting himself in position to fight Max regularly so we don't know that his results would be any different, he'd most likely end up off the track just like Lando. The Mclaren pace difference was much less in this race than in the past few.

There seems to be a distinct quali/race pace tradeoff that Ferrari got correct this race and the others didn't...

Me and my brother liked colapinto in F2 this year already so when he got the bump up to F1 so unexpectedly we where excited for him, had no idea he'd do this well. Great to see! Lawson also with a MEGA performance this weekend. I'd sure as hell be looking at the fine print...

FIA is in bed with Red Bull. The car has been illegal for 3 years and Verstappen does what he wants on track because he knows he will never be penalized. He pushes drivers off the track 24/7.

Agreed. Lando lacks both smoothness and cunning.

Just off the top of my head, LEC overtook Max three times in Austria in ‘22, a couple of times at Saudi in ‘22 will trading the lead with no issues at all.

If you attempt to overtake on the outside, you better make sure you can complete the overtake. As was well explained by some of the smarter guys in the Sky broadcast: the defender, if he’s ahead at the apex—which Max was—has the advantage and can dictate the corner as long as he doesn’t crash the attacker. The attacker can’t overtake by going off track—which is what NOR did—so he should have given the place back or risk a 5-sec penalty. He was badly advised by his team and the outcome was totally predictable.

Possibly, but that was never proven because Renault refused to file a protest, pretending that a championship should be won outright, and not on appeal. Toto Wolff thought just the same after the Abu Dhabi fiasco.

I knew you wouldn't understand Max needs the best car to win, and he is not God, like I've been trying to explain.

Nothing you posted addressed the truth that Max has'nt won the last 7 races now that he doesn't have the best car.

We'll see at the end of the season.

He's won before, plenty of times, in what is not the best car.

Now leading WDC in not the best car.

I know you need to take the eyes of Lewlew doing bad.

And yet he's managed to keep a 50+ point differential...Lando was 54 points behind in Miami when he started winning, he's now 57 points behind. So that's a champion drive imo.

I'm not a Max fan (he comes across like a smug, humorless *******) but have to admit the man is one hell of a driver. He doesn't seem to ever put a tire wrong, and certainly whips Perez race after race.
Sure he'd like to win every race but coming in 2nd or 3rd while Ferrari, Merc and McL swap top step will rather easily bring him another championship.

Yep, and Max is fighting against 2 teams with 4 very good drivers in a not-so-great car. It's 1 against 4.

I'm not trying to be a jerk. just stating the facts. Some of you guys don't wan't to listen. Some think they know everything. Max is good, but I've been watching F1 for a long time. I told you all Max is still beneath Sir Lewis Hamilton when its all said and done.

Verstappen is a spoiled kid. Hes doesn't understand basic rules.
He should have been penalized twice in this race. FIA is in bed with Red Bull.

Unless there is contact, very very rare for any penalties in turn 1, lap 1. Any claims that Max did anything wrong at the start is wishful thinking.

Surprised no one is suggesting that Charles catching Lando for 2nd in Drivers and Ferrari catching McLaren for WCC is possible. Strong Ferrari finish over the remainder of the season and one DNF from Norris will make it close.

Drivers should treat every corner as if there was a wall on the outside.
If you get pushed wide, you should lift and wait for another (better) occasion.

Every driver should know by now that Max is going to push you wide if he is on the inside, penalty or not. Either you have to be on the inside or you have to do an over/under to pass him. Most others do the same. As long as there is runoff area to use, they will use it until the penalty kicks in.

read the rules and you understand that he actually understands them. It's not Max's fault the rules are written by idiots.
