Here's hoping Max makes a great start and gets away from the rest. If it is raining at the start, it will be a real scramble. I only hope they don't do a rolling start behind the safety car.

I’d like a clean race but if it’s raining tomorrow who knows what will happen.

The periods of light rain/no rain will scramble things up. Mercedes only has one new set of Inters per car I believe. Lando has been cleared to race, pity the poor Mclaren mechanics.

George seems to have more natural speed than Rosberg did.
    Certainly deserves a Merc seat

Driver Skill, Tyre Strategy, and Track Evolution outweighed car dominance today.

Superb job by Russell and Williams. Just simply amazing, the team made some great calls and Russell's skill nearly got him P1. He truly showed he deserves a seat in a top tier car next year.

I noticed Verstappen didnt enquire even when prompted by the interviewer on how Norris was.

Actions speak louder than words Mr V, take a look at Seb's actions,

Lets hope GR does it for Williams, if there was a team that needed a break its these guys.

As for SF - go home its not that far

We really quoting brundle? Guy is clueless as they come, repeats everything he hears and bring nothing to the table.

remember when Norris said debt should focus on his driving during the grill the grid challenge? Seems rather ironic now.

Having a hairpin as the first corner, Spa isn't the safest place to start a wet race.

And the second corner is Eau Rouge !!

The outcome of the race could be decided during the first lap ...

UPDATE: Norris will take a new gearbox and receive a five-place grid penalty. The McLaren driver will therefore start from P14.

Joe I thought Bottas to P13, Lando to P15 and Stroll to P20?

Lando s set to start the Belgian GP from 14th. He's currently 9th (he gained one from BOT) but a new gearbox will put him back 5 spots. The chassis is OK so no pitlane start. Final call on PU in AM

I’m not sure you can call him clueless. He did compete in 165 GPs. How many did you compete in?

Top 3 on a different level today. All exceptional. Russell extraordinary today.

Both Ver and Ham bear their (current) team mates by 2.3 seconds. That’s a country mile. Sadly for RB, they have already signed Perez for 2022 which I believe is a mistake. Meanwhile, Mercedes gave Bottas a wonderful birthday present today - a seat at Williams! :)

We can agree to disagree then, just because he competed doesn’t excuse the lack of substance he provides so I’m not sure how you relate the two.

Hats-off(figuratively) to the fans at Spa who stuck it out by the thousands in the pouring rain. There, I beat Lewis to the punch;)

The accident happened well before reaching any kind of crest.
Last I checked this is the Belgian quali thread, not the ''but who also got his car on pole in a different race in a different year'' thread.

Norris says how bad the track it and prone to hydroplaning, proceeds to speed up and hydroplane .
