Agree, RB is doing a better job in the evolution of the car. Though the gap between Max and Sergio is big. It also points out how bad Ferrari strategy in race conditions in real time.
I don't recall these refusals being so highlighted in the past. Here again, the negative emphasis is on Hamilton.
No William he plays one side, he's a Ferrari fan, wich doesn't stops him from liking one of the 2 best drivers out there wich is his countryman, so makes perfect sense.....others on the other hand, just like to cheer for who's winning, justo to look or "feel" as a winner...
Up until the belgian GP the Ferrari and Red Bull where neck and neck. Ferrari especially enjoyed a bit of a single lap advantage. Now with the new technical directive it seems to have hurt Ferrari. Ferrari was porpoising a lot all year but quick with it, so this new TD was going to affect them likely and it did. RBR had very little porpoising and didn't need to change anything. FWIW both teams where against the technical directive. This track was going to suit the red bull anyways given how efficient it is on downforce. Lower temperatures, TD and the new small update may have enlarged the gap.
WEll, nou sure what say except it was all too depressing...starting with the qualy when they put the wrong tyres on charles car! Untill the problem with the bract duct, Charles was keeping up with max, so i think he had achance to fight for second with Checo, i do believe he would have finished ahead of carlos. The fastest lap atempt was just idiot. The only good thing wa sthat Ferrari did well on all pit stops, fast with no blunders, that sure was an improvement! I just want to see another batle between max and Charles, because regardless of the result, those first races of the year were just amazing!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I missed it as muted him & his buddies. @william what utter ****ing drivel did you write. I pretend to support Ferrari?! I've been posting here for nearly 15 years and always supported Ferrari, how can this even be an argument?! I've never made a secret of supporting Red Bull either, during their good and bad years. Pretend to support Ferrari, I've heard it all now! In all my time here you're the first one to accuse me of that! I've plenty of posts here in the F1 section and also the Ferrari road cars, yet it's all been a mask? When I made my account here and started posting, Red Bull didn't even win a race yet! YOU on the other hand have a long, long history of not ever supporting Ferrari at any given moment in your time here on this forum. Not the team, not the drivers, not even the road cars. Take your daft accusations and poor attempt at trolling elsewhere.
I honestly don't know where Charles could've finished as his opening lap was only 1 lap before SC, and after that Charles went on a different strategy which was basically two long medium stints and he was at the back, with Carlos on a completely different (wrong) tyre strategy. Carlos had really good pace this weekend all things considered. Leclerc had he not had the issue he could've finished 3rd to 5th really. Checo was also in management mode as he had no reason to push. Overtaking the red bull with it's pace advantage would've been very, very hard. The quali tyre thing was stupid but didn't impact his weekend in any meaningful way. He wasn't going to beat Max's lap even if he did everything absolutely perfect. All it was was another check in Ferrari's ''how to make totally avoidable errors'' book, 2022 edition. Ferrari's strategy with Carlos was utterly bizarre, soft medium hard just made no sense whatsoever. Medium soft Medium was the fastest stint out there. Totally agree, having competition up front is what I hope for as well but if Spa was any indication of the TD, I don't have high hopes.
Any driver not following the rules should get a warning on first offense and race suspensions thereafter. We know what happens when drivers are allowed to ignore safety rules.
Max can be mathematical champion in Japan under this scenario. 3 wins and 1 second place. Perez would need fastest lap in every single race. Poetic if Max wins it in Japan, his first time in an F1 car, the Honda connection... Taken Perez as the primary because he's closer in points. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was looking forward to see what Hamilton could have done yesterday. I was a bit surprised he didn't get some kind of penalty with his interaction with Alonso. Ironically, he did exactly what he claims EVERYONE does to him... turned in on Alonso. Alonso has a few choice words for Lewis which i read he didn't much appreciate, but Lewis is just as capable at casting dispersions at other drivers... albeit in a softer tone and accent. Either way, I was hoping he'd do well at Spa giving all the penalties. Great race from RB all the way around. Ferrari... I can't even comment.
I love Ayrton - so committed. My 1 month old baby boy slept on my chest at 4 am in Malibu when he hit the wall, so sad but that's racing. What a driver! I love him even more than Big Al.
... Just thinking about it... I was wondering what Russell was thinking as Max crossed the line a light year ahead of everyone else. Before the break, he was certain that both Ferrari and RedBull were cheating and couldn't keep his mouth closed about it. I guess there's no better way to shut up an arrogant prick then with results. Ric didn't help himself much this race either. Still looking like an "also-ran" at Spa. They should pay him a few more bucks and have him sit out the rest of the season.
